I bought this in hopes of repairing a dime-sized Guage from a door panel in my SUV. Following the instructions, I prepared the area, used the backing fabric and glue, let it dry, etc. I mixed the finish paste a few days later, in which the color came out well, a very close match, based off the mixing guide. What happened though was, applying the texture sheet, and allowing it to dry for the prescribed time, and then some, only had the finish surface material stick to the texture sheet, and pull away from the repair spot. It even brought the fabric base with it, so, right back where I started, thanks to the texture sheet. I should have just not used that, or applied it after the mix set for a few hours. That was not specified in the instructions, unless I read it wrong. This kit is good for small punctures, maybe cracks in vinyl and leather. Whatever went wrong with my attempt is not exactly known. I do suggest the repair CANNOT be rushed. Allow yourself time and patience to get it right.

The repaired area stays soft and pliable. Highly recommend this kit for anyone needing to fix vinyl or leather items!

Kit instructions are easy. Glue works good. The kit I received some of the paint was hard and unusable. I called JB weld and they were nice enough to replace the kit. They said this is an issue when purchasing on Amazon because they can’t guarantee the product isn’t old and out of date.

As an experienced car restorer for multiple personal vehicles in the past 20 years, I have tackled numerous interior restorations and was hopeful that this vinyl repair kit would meet my expectations. JB Weld has great products and I wanted to give this one a try. However, despite carefully following all the directions and ensuring that I worked with the material at the proper temperature and setting time, I encountered a major issue. When I attempted to peel off the texture applicator after the repair was completed, I discovered that the compound below was still not cured, leading to a surface that was still wet and not conforming to the texture pad. As a do-it-yourself product, this should be a seamless process since the instructions are pretty basic. I cannot recommend this product for anyone looking to repair vinyl surfaces in their vehicles.

I won’t say that my repair is invisible, but it will allow me to use an office chair for a little longer. The fake leather had cracked and this was a pretty easy fix. It doesn’t flex like the fabric does, so it can feel a little different when wearing shorts, but otherwise is just fine. I would happily buy this again.

This might be OK for very small holes or tears but for anything larger than say 1/16 of an inch I would not recommend. For one thing there's not enough of the repair paste for anything larger. The other issue I had is the color dried much darker than what I had mixed to match my leather chair. It looks like hell because it's not even close in color and not smooth. In retrospect I think I would have been better off cutting a bit of material from an out of sight location of the chair and glued it over the damaged arm of the chair using a proven adhesive such as Shoe Goo.

I repaired my sofa with this. It works.

Disappointed! Adhesives and all paints are already dried up. Don’t buy!

It's depending on you to get the right colour.

La usé para reparar un asiento de piel de mi auto que tenía una pequeña fisura, lo uní y pegó excelente, no se nota nada!! Ojo, es para areas pequeñas y lamentablemente se disuelve/desprende al "sumergirlo" en agua (traté de reparar unos tenis de piel, quedaron muy bien y aguantaron el uso pero al lavarlos se desprendió el pegamento). Lo recomiendo ampliamente para restaurar productos de piel con pequeños daños (fisuras principalmente), yo lo aplico despues de limpiar con alcohol isopropílico y espero 24 horas, para entonces ya secó y mientras no se sumerja ahí estará, mi carro lleva meses con la reparación y sigue como nuevo
