Great value, works great
I was skeptical when I saw the price and more so when I saw the product, which appears cheap and unserious. My new battery was depleted after vehicle was parked for a couple weeks. I purchased a jumpstart battery here, but that didn't budge it at all. I had previously bought a similar, but more expensive and serious-looking charger at a club warehouse store, and it hadn't helped at all, so I held out little hope for this one. It charged fully in a few hours and the truck started right up. At this price, it was worth not having to remove the battery to take it in for testing/charging, especially if this proves to be a recurring problem (voltage leak). If the unit doesn't prove durable over time, I will update. But at the price, hard to go wrong.

Great Tool—Worth the money
I can’t put into words how valuable this little >$30 tool is. It’s saved over 3 batteries for myself and friends with its “Repair” function. It can take a while for the cycle to be complete maybe an over night thing (it may even take a day) when you’re trying to revive a bad battery but hey, it beats having to pay over $200 for a new one. It works perfectly, easy plug and play. Display is easy to read, I do recommend at least skimming over the manual to avoid any issues.

Intelligent Battery Charger that Charges!
My sister's car has a faulty alternator so her battery needs charging frequently until she can get a new alternator. She was using a battery charger from the big W retailer and it finally just stopped charging. I decided to help her out and order this Nexpeak battery charger mainly for its price point and it's pulse repair feature. It's a nice looking small box that you simply connect to the AC power and then connect to battery. It defaults to standard lead acid battery mode so first use was simple. While it's charging it it shows a diagram of a battery with bars that flash and stay lit as it charges showing 0-100% in 20% increments. On the left of the display you'll see DFS for about five minutes where it's going through a small repair mode (desulfurization stage) then begins charging. Information was shown such as the temperature of the charger, the Voltage, and Amps. It charged between 13v and 14v staying over 9 amps having the battery almost full in as little as four hours. The charger has a built in fan as well to be sure it stays optimally cool as it charges. The quality of the box is great for the price range. It's all plastic but it's not super cheap feeling and the clamps are also nice. It's small enough as well to easily take it where ever you may need it making it extremely portable. Really the only biggest draw back I can see if the AC cord is very short so either expect to have the battery very close by or grab an extension cord to hook up with it. I almost forgot the mode button on this charger too. Its a touch capacitive button which with a simple touch it will cycle modes. Those modes being STD (Standard lead acid battery), AGM/GEL, WET, Motorcycle Trickle and lastly Repair. I have seen in other reviews folks mentioning issues with the touch button in getting it to work correctly. I wonder if the issues they may be having could be due to the plastic screen protector that is on it for packaging. I removed it as soon as I took the charger out of the box and have had no issues myself. It's charged her battery up now about three times with no issues at all and soon I'm going to test the repair mode on my battery that is aging and see what results I get. Overall though for the price it's hard to beat and highly recommed!

Charges AGM and standard batteries quickly
I purchased this battery charger specifically to charge my AGM starter/accessory battery on my boat. I have a NOCO dual charger to charge the two batteries for the trolling motor, but wanted to be able to simultaneously charge the boat battery during multi-day fishing trips. My requirement was good quality, low cost, and 10A charging capability. This fits the requirements. I modified the battery cables to remove the clamps and install an SAE power connector for quick attachment to my battery from outside the boat. The wire diameter seems to be on the small side for 10A, but it should not be an issue due to the relatively short length of the cable. Compared to the NOCO charger, the wire diameter is much thinner and the cable is much shorter, which makes it a little inconvenient, but it is still (barely) long enough for my application. The AC power cable is also quite short, but an extension cord fixes this deficiency. I like the feature that it will indicate voltage and state of charge when you connect it to the battery, even without connecting it to AC power. This is useful for a quick evaluation of the battery state. Overall, I like the size, functionality, and 10A charging capability. The short cables are not an issue for my specific application, but may be too short for other applications.

Great investment!!
Works great so far, used it on a dead battery that I thought would have to replace. Battery would not take a charge, used the Pulse repair mode and after 12 hours, battery das taken and held a charge and have been driving this car for over a week.

Excellent battery charger!
I had a 30 year old batter charger that finally gave out and I finally decided to try one of these small digital battery chargers and I am genuinely surprised at how happy I am with it! The instant you hook it up to the battery it starts testing battery and shows you the power level of your battery. Very nice. If it doesn't need charging, it doesn't do anything. But, if it does need charging, it automatically starts desulfating the battery (uses high-frequency pulses to break down and dissolve hardened lead sulfate crystals that form on the battery's plates. This improves battery performance and extends battery life. Technology is great when it works. Best $25 I've spent in a long time! I would highly recommend this charger to anyone with a 6 or 12 volt battery in their life.

These units are not plug and play and leave all winter.
This unit has a handy screen which shows useful info like Amps and Volts. This unit is unsuitable for my application due the design issue of putting 21" clamp cables on it. The cables are too short for me to place the unit inside my engine under the hood and charge the battery. The unit ends up being right on top of the battery upside down to get the clamps to reach. I pinged Nexpeak and was told the unit was not meant to be outside in variable environmental conditions. It is designed to be in a climate controlled environment, such as a closed in garage. I live in GA. We don't have many garages. Most houses have carports, like I do. Its the same as being outside, and merely keeps the rain off you until you can get into your vehicle. Heat / humidity fluctuates which will eventually cause the unit to fail. I will have to hook up the unit and run it 24-72 hrs to top off the battery, then unhook and bring the unit inside out of the weather. Its below freezing right now at night, so this, and probably most other units will not last long outside. Since this is a 10A unit, it has a fan, probably because it gets hot running at 10A. This simply is too limiting and will not work for me. Its being returned. I will look for longer cables and easy detach so I can move the unit inside and out, and close the hood. Painful and not what I was looking for. You cannot plug this unit in and leave it all winter like the description states.
