Q: Can I apply this to my clothes, hat, lawn chair, etc.?

We don't recommend that with this product. The insect repelling essential oils are fine, however the balm base of organic olive oil and beeswax might stain certain fabrics.

Q: Does this work for gnats, ticks, fleas, and no see ums?

This product is formulated to be generally repellent to a wide variety of biting insects but is only tested on mosquitoes and stable flies so our efficacy claims are limited to those.

Q: Does it contain DEET or any other chemical insect repellants?

No. Badger Bug repellents do not contain: DEET, boric acid, skin so soft, permethrin, wondercide, neem, or picaridin. They repels bugs with organic essentials oils, nature's original bug repellents.

Q: Do all-natural bug sprays really work?

Yes. All Badger bug repellents have been independently tested and approved to be effective for at least 3 hours. All bug repellents must pass testing before they can be sold in the USA. Testing by ICR, Inc. in March, 2010.

Q: What does it smell and feel like?

It smells like citronella, lemongrass, geranium and other essential oils. It feels like an intensive moisturizing balm (the inactive ingredients are organic extra virgin olive oil and beeswax).
