Fortessa Fortaluxe SuperWhite Vitrified China Dinnerware, Plaza 8-3/4-Inch Square Shallow Salad/Dessert Plate, Set of 6

We received a set of large Strawberry Street dinner plates for our wedding registry and have been quite pleased, or so we thought. Several weeks ago my wife and I were looking to purchase some complementary salad/dessert plates. We found a matching set of Strawberry Street on Amazon through a third party vendor and ordered them. To sum up a long story... the items never arrived. Amazon's excellent customer service offered to send me these plates even though there was a severe price difference from the once I ordered.These plates are amazing! the quality is top notch and the whiteness is crisp, and white? They are whiter than my other plates and feel like they are manufactured quite better. It doesn't feel like you are going to break or chip these plates like the others I own. In the future I will be replacing my dinner plates with Fortessa as the quality and appearance is noticeably superior. There is a reason that hotels and restaurants use these plates, so if you are looking for quality, so should you.

I like the plates, but wish there wasn’t a square imprint in the center. I know it’s for the square bowls and you don’t see it once food is on the plate; however, it looks strange when you have the place settings on the table without food yet. This is why on only put one star.

Loving the plates. Makes an average dinner look fancy. Packaging wasn't the best, a single sheet of cardboard between plates, but all of them arrived unbroken and it was shipped overseas to me - so I know it went through more than typical shipping abuse. As for the build quality, they are heavy, solid, and have stayed unchipped for many uses. When these do eventually break or get destroyed, I would purchase again. Happy customer

How can you go wrong with these wonderful plates? I learned about them when frequenting my favorite upscale restaurant. Below my tiramisu was chocolate and caramel swirls. I can't wait to duplicate this beautiful presentation for my guests. The dishes are heavy. I would have liked a whiter white, but these will do just fine. .

Highly disappointed in quality of plates. These plates have imperfections and the glaze is not finished on the edges. The video makes them look more refined than they are. I wouldn't call them superwhite either. Unlike other vitrified products I own, they are super heavy without anything on them.

The dishes had a few imperfections. The back of the dish has a raised area molded in the center that shows through to the front of the dish. This does not show in the website picture. However, as a place setting with another dish set on top and the true white color, it looked fine. I bought 2 sets for temporary use to mix and match and they served their purpose. As long as the center is covered with another dish or food, it's fine. Bottom line, I didn't love them and I didn't hate them, hence the score of 3.

Beautiful plates. I've had many compliments on them. Run through several cycles of the dishwasher without issues. The plates are large enough to fit a large rib eye, a baked potato and a small salad. Would certainly buy these again if I needed additional pieces.
