Great hooded dryer, powerful and easy to use
I really liked this hooded dryer. It heats up quickly, has strong airflow, and dries the hair evenly. It works great for rollers, treatments, and deep conditioning. The wheeled base is stable and easy to move around. It was simple to assemble and the material feels durable. Highly recommend it if you want salon-quality results at home or in your

Great Stand Up Dryer!
This dryer is better than the last stand up dryer that I purchased. I was able to put it together easily. Also, the heat settings are easy to adjust. It dries my thick, curly hair in less than one hour. My hair is shoulder length. I am very happy with this purchase. EDIT on 1/27/2020 - Apparently I did not put the stand on correctly because the five legs have fallen off several times. I think that I have those on correctly now but better directions would be a plus. Also, the bonnet is a little small if you have a full head of rollers. It is easy enough to maneuver your head under the bonnet but I wish that it was a little bigger. I have curly, shoulder length hair and this dryer is very fast, not too hot, and leaves my hair very shiny. I would buy it again.

This uses reverse air technology so it does dry but not like a regular blow dryer ... 3.5 stars
I've had this dryer for about 8months now and overall I'm satisfied (I think a 3.5 average rating would be fair) but once it stops working, I'll try a different dryer with different technology. I'm going to cover two aspects of this dryer - general stuff & drying performance. General stuff first - The instructions could have been clearer but overall it was fairly simple to assemble and I've had absolutely no problems with the legs falling off/ stability. It's easy to operate, easy to adjust the height & tilt, and rolls decently on carpet. The tilt could be better as I find that I have to lean back in my chair for a more comfortable fit. I have jaw length, thin hair and it's a pretty tight squeeze when I have rollers in; if you have a lot of hair, this may be a no-go with roller sets. It has pretty good airflow and the heat is hot enough but not too much where it burns my ears/ neck. The noise level is comparable to salon dryers. My plan was to wheel this into the closet (depth of 23") when not in use but the leg span is pretty wide (approx. 28/29") so it doesn't fit. This is a con for me since I have to leave it out and it takes up floor space. Drying performance - Let me start by saying that this dryer isn't designed to operate like a regular blow dryer. It uses a rotary backflow airflow design which essentially combines gentle vacuum suctioning power and heat so the air circulates like a tornado to draw moisture from the hair instead of just blowing hot air. This is supposed to be better for the hair's health and multi-purpose (smooth, stretch, & dry at once). With that in mind, it does take longer for my wrapped 4c jaw-length, fine hair to dry (1h30m to 1hr 45m) vs a regular tabletop hooded dryer (45m). The instructions recommends pre-heating first for 30-40 mins, which I don't do so I have to start the timer a 2nd round to get fully dry. Something else that likely contributes to longer dry time is that the timer has a interval cycle that blows high heat for 10 mins then warmish heat for 10 mins and so on rather than a flow of consistent high heat. I find that my hair comes out smoother when I use a wrap that covers my entire head vs wraps that leave the top of my hair exposed. It does create frizz and lots of fly-aways if I don't use a wrap at all. At the end of the day, it does dry my hair so I'm satisfied in that but there's definitely room for improvement. Last thing... the face lid broke (my carelessness) and the seller sent a replacement within a week, no hassle at all (still in 1-year warranty period). It was also very easy to install.

Dangerous, uncomfortable for client, and zero customer service
I’m shocked that this got such good reviews. I couldn’t replace it fast enough! Where to begin.... First of all, this has an upward air flow. This means that the hair is getting sucked up into the mechanism. Sure, they tell you when you receive it to always cover their hair with a cap or towel, but that would have been nice to know before I bought it. Working in the salon, I frequently use this as a method to dry curly hair. So covering the hair with a towel will not give me the results I need. Even with a cap on, it sucks upward so hard that the clients feel it will pull the cap right off of their heads. It’s unnerving, and absolutely not safe if there is any dry uncovered hair exposed at all. Secondly, this bonnet style is so awkward. It doesn’t fit over the head well at all. It doesn’t tilt down enough and leaves the bonnet in a position where the client feels they have to tilt their head back to fit into it. Not realistic for anyone who will be sitting under the dryer for more than a few minutes. Lastly, it is sooooooo loud when you try to adjust it. It sounds like metal scraping metal whenever you try to move it up and down. It’s frankly embarrassing. This makes you so badly not want to adjust it at all in front of the client, which is impossible because it’s so awkwardly shaped that you have to adjust it! All in all, it was awful. I made an attempt to return it, but amazon was going to charge me shipping to do so even with all of these issues! With the size of this, the shipping would have cost me at least half the price of the item. I attempted to contact the company to cover shipping costs and they never even bothered responding. I thought I might try to sell it on Facebook marketplace, but with it being a completely unsafe piece of equipment I didn’t even want the liability. It was all moot though, because when I tried to remove it from the salon one of the legs broke when I put it in the back of my car. Icing on the cake for this ridiculous purchase that wasted $75 of my hard earned money. I never really write negative reviews. I am one of those people that only really jumps on here to sing the praises of items I like. But with this item, just walk away. There are far better dryers out there, don’t waste your time and money on this one.

Pretty Good
So far, pretty good. It heats well. The timer is very loud when it goes off. It was a bit challenging to put together because the instructions are not the greatest.
