This can damage your CD player
The unit works for holding your phone in place, but over time it started to droop and I had to tighten the clamps that hold it in place, until finally it caused the plastic casing for my CD player to crack. If your CD player is mounted in the dash using steel or some other relatively indestructible material, you should be fine. But I would be surprised if that were the case.
