Wonderful product, great for everyday!
I absolutely love these greens! Ordering more as I write this review. Being a flight attendant I am exposed to nearly every germ you can imagine. Not only that, but there are many days where we are forced to buy food on the go. Eating out isn't always what it's cracked up to be, and many times can still leave you feeling like something is missing. That is where the greens come into play. I have tried several different flavors of this brand, and all have been quite good. The original is a little rough, especially if this is a new regiment for your daily diet. I really enjoy both the chocolate and the berry. The chocolate I use in the mornings to mix with my chocolate protein shakes. Now don't get me wrong, you can still taste the greens in the protein shake but they become a very welcomed taste. At first when I began making these shakes it took a little getting use to for the flavor, but the way it left you feeling throughout the day was so good that it was worth it. I noticed that taking these greens every day was helping curve my cravings towards junk food, and I had a little more energy throughout the day. I definitely notice less bloating and my digestive system loves them. After a while I began to wonder if it was a combo of the protein shake helping with all these great attributes, so when I ran out of the greens we gave it a month before reordering to test this theory. While the shakes were great on their own, the greens were definitely the source of the positive aspects I listed. Now unfortunately I am often on the road and cannot make shakes every day. Nor do I want to wear out a good thing, so I decided to purchase the berry flavor. Now this flavor I use differently and I almost always mix it with Raspberry Emergen-C. This is my way of combating all the germs on the plane and keeping my immune system in balance so I am not getting sick every flu season. Let me tell you... it works! During my flight training almost every single one of my classmates got really sick from the long days, cold weather (27 degrees), and cafeteria food. However, I took this EVERYDAY (though at that time I was using the Original flavor with all different flavors of Emergen-C) and I was one of the very few that did not get sick. It really helps to give your body what it is lacking nutritionally on a daily basis. Between flying and having IBS, it has been a struggle keeping my digestive system and dietary needs in balance; I truly feel that this has made a difference in keeping my system moving and obtaining the nutrients I need. Hopefully you will enjoy your purchase as much as I have! I can certainly say that I will continue to be back for more!

Healthy Blend For Smoothies & Homemade Nutrition Bars
I've now tried this Sweet Berry flavor and the Original flavor and I like them both. Not gonna lie, they both have a distinct "greens" flavor which tastes grassy (after all is it does have GRASS in the name), but it is easily combined with other mild flavored healthy beverages to create a gentle greens flavor. TASTE: If you've had Greens Plus Energy Bars, the taste of the Original Amazing Grass is very similar. The Sweet Berry flavor is more of a strong raspberry / black currant / cherry taste so mix with juices accordingly. I like either or both flavors mixed with green tea. QUICK HEALTHY SMOOTHIE RECIPE: My general rule is that whatever you decide to mix it with, be sure to stick to a ratio of 3:1 juice to water otherwise the flavor is too concentrated. I just shake it up in a non-blender bottle and there is hardly any grit at first and then all dissolves into the drink. Here's how I formulate new smoothies daily: 1 cup fruit / vegetable juice or green tea 1/2 cup protein drink 1/2 cup water 1 scoop of Amazing Grass ^ The attached nutritional facts are for the above recipe with Diet Green Tea, Evolve Vanilla Protein Drink & Original Amazing Grass. Not bad for 28% daily fiber and 22% protein in a 105 calorie, vitamin-packed drink! More ideas: Tastes awesome mixed with pineapple juice and a dash of coconut milk. Love it with 1 tbls POM juice, 1 tbls watermelon juice and 8oz of water. Or drop the watermelon juice and add about 1/2 tsp of almond extract and it tastes like a healthy Shirley Temple! For a lighter flavor, take a few sips of a bottle of water and replace them with coconut water, then add a scoop of Sweet Berry greens - so refreshing! Also delicious in lemon water sweetened with stevia if desired. HOMEMADE NUTRITION BARS: For a make-in-advance dose of greens, I like to have homemade greens grain bars on hand. I make them different every time but here is the gist of how-to: 1.) Microwave 3 tbls Vitafiber Syrup for 2.5 minutes on power level 4 2.) While heating the syrup, mix dry ingredients: ~ 1 Scoop Amazing Greens (whichever flavor you like) ~ 2 tbls of UNFLAVORED whey protein powder ~ 1 tbls coconut flour ~ 4 tbls of nuts or grains or your choice* 3.) Once syrup is ready, stir in the dry ingredients and divide into 3rds. 4.) Shape into bars and place them individually on plastic wrap sprayed with cooking spray. 5.) Refrigerate for an hour or two and then enjoy! (Great for traveling) *Get creative. I've used combinations of chia seeds, hemp hearts, flax seeds, granola, quinoa, etc. Add Maqui or Acai powder in there too, if you want a stronger berry flavor! If the bars aren't sweet enough for your liking, add some honey into the Vitafiber syrup or a little stevia to taste. This drink mix is perfect in morning smoothies or to get you over that afternoon slump. Tastes delicious and is a nice, healthy alternative to all the junky ingredients you could be putting into your body. I'm sold on it and I challenge you to try it and come up with new mix ideas to share with me!!

Superfood, is right!!!
Wow. Bought this based on the overwhelming majority of excellent seemingly unpaid reviews (thanks fellow shoppers!) and must concur with the majority. I have now worked my way through 2-3 of the full size jars, which we put on Subscribe & Save, after initially trying the smaller jar. So...I don't work out regularly, partly because it just ain't my bag and partly because I have little free time...and partly because I'm tired ALL THE TIME and it's a vicious circle. You're lethargic so you don't work out so your metabolism slows so you stay lethargic so you don't work out so your metabolism....on and on. Went to a GP and then to an endocrinologist who suspected hypothyroidism because I'm female/tired/losing hair but too young to be losing hair/cold all the time/retaining weight even on ultra-low calorie intake/dry skin, yada yada yada. But the thyroid test comes back negative whilst meanwhile I want to lay down and die now and then. They gave me uppers, but though it makes me 'normal' ( not speedy, just how I used to be when I was normal) I don't want to be chained to Big Pharma if I don't hafta be. So I bought this. I bought chocolate flavor despite not caring for chocolate because it seemed to be one of the best-reviewed in terms of mixability and flavor...not tasting like a bag of lawn clippings. It is a VERY fine powder that smells of cocoa powder with a hint of...lawn clippings. I bought a carton of chocolate almond milk to mix it into, since chocolate-on-chocolate seemed strategically sound. Do yourself a favor and buy one of those shaker cups with the flip top and the wire mixing ball inside. Stirring with a spoon is tiresome and lengthy and results in grittiness unless you want to devote a half hour to the task, which you don't. Do yourself another favor and put the liquid in FIRST. And only THEN add the powder. If you put the powder in first, you will never get it all off the bottom, where it will stay, hard and defiant and a waste of dollars. I sipped gingerly, expecting grass flavor. But although you will not mistake it for Nestle Quik, it is not bad tasting in chocolate milk. I'm telling you. If I can drink it you can. I'm the world champion of dubious eaters. Try it. It grows on you, too. At first sip I thought...well, I can choke this down...I guess. Now I care not, though I do keep it in the blender cup so I can reshake as desired ( I'm picky about texture too and eventually it does settle out). Use more liquid than recommended if you want to hide the taste/texture even more (I do). So as I sat on the couch staring at the wall reflecting on what might have brought me to this sad state of drinking chocolate grass out of a gym rat bottle, I actually noticed, within twenty minutes of the first sip....HEY. I feel awake. Not high, or amped up like I just took phentermine or a load of caffeine, just...alert. Is that the same wall I was staring at? Why was I tired? Is there time before I have to leave the house to put in some laundry and wipe down this leather couch that the dogs keep befouling with their muddy feet? Where ARE the dogs anyway? They could use a wash too, since the couch is about to be clean. I felt normal. I have no testimonial about how much weight I've lost or how glorious my skin looks or how much weight I can bench now. I'm sure if you were normal to begin with you might achieve some of that. I was just looking to not feel like a zombie, a potted plant, and that I definitely got. When I do NOT take it I DO feel a difference. I then recommended it to my husband, who does work out regularly, and firmly in the no-hippie-lawn-clippings-for-me category. He would not add even a pinch to his workout shake. I made him sip mine one morning on the promise it did not taste like dirt or grass. He said it wasn't bad. A short while later he confessed he had subsequently added a SMALL scoop to his workout drink and d@&$ if he didn't feel more alert and had more stamina that morning. Since then, he uses more than I do. For alertness and energy with no crash and no jitteriness, this is your daddy right here. Is it unfortunate that it's made out of vile green things that you have to hide to keep from gagging? Yeah, maybe. But you CAN hide it, so pick up the small size and see for yourself. It's very competitively priced here, btw. Our local grocer wants almost as much for the smaller jar.

Amazing Grass Superfood Review: Watermelon
User Write a product review for Amazing Grass Green Superfood As a health-conscious individual always on the lookout for natural and convenient ways to boost my energy and overall well-being, I recently decided to give the Amazing Grass Green Superfood Energy - Super Greens Powder in the Watermelon flavor a try. Having used various green superfood supplements in the past, I was intrigued by the promise of added energy and the unique watermelon twist. Taste and Texture: The first thing that struck me about this product was the refreshing watermelon flavor. Unlike some other green superfood powders that tend to have an overpowering grassy taste, this one was surprisingly pleasant. The watermelon infusion added a delightful sweetness, making it enjoyable to consume on its own mixed with water. The texture was smooth and easy to mix without any clumps, which is always a plus. Ingredients and Nutritional Profile: One of the main reasons I chose this product was its impressive list of organic ingredients. Packed with nutrient-dense greens like wheatgrass, barley grass, and spirulina, as well as a blend of fruits and vegetables, it felt like a powerful way to supplement my diet with essential vitamins and minerals. The addition of matcha green tea and yerba mate provided a natural energy boost without the jitters that often accompany caffeine-based products. Effectiveness: After incorporating the Amazing Grass Green Superfood Energy into my daily routine for a couple of weeks, I did notice a positive change in my energy levels. While it wasn't an instant, drastic surge of energy, I felt a sustained, subtle boost throughout the day. This was particularly helpful during my mid-afternoon slumps when I tend to feel fatigued. It also seemed to improve my digestion and overall sense of well-being, possibly due to the greens and probiotics in the formula. Value for Money: Though this product is a bit on the pricey side compared to standard greens powders, its quality and the carefully selected organic ingredients make it worth the investment, especially if you value natural, plant-based supplements. Additionally, considering the convenience of getting a variety of nutrients in a single scoop, it saves me from purchasing multiple supplements separately. Overall, I'm impressed with the Amazing Grass Green Superfood Energy - Super Greens Powder in Watermelon flavor. It delivers on its promise of providing sustained energy, a delightful taste, and an array of nutrients from organic sources. The only reason I'm deducting one star is the relatively higher cost. However, for those who prioritize their health and don't mind investing a bit more in premium products, this green superfood powder is definitely worth a try. Pros: Refreshing watermelon flavor Organic and nutrient-dense ingredients Provides sustained energy without jitters Improved digestion and well-being Convenient and easy to mix Cons: Higher cost compared to regular greens powders I recommend the Amazing Grass Green Superfood Energy - Super Greens Powder in Watermelon flavor to health-conscious individuals looking for an all-in-one organic supplement to boost energy and support overall health. It's a great addition to a balanced diet and lifestyle.

Went beyond what I *expected* and met what I HOPED for!!!
I decided to try this mainly because of other reviews-- people felt great and the only complaint was about the taste. Well in a nation where people are used to donuts for breakfast and fast food for lunch-- I really took the bad taste mentions with a grain of salt--the healthy living people know better that it's not going to be a Snicker's bar, nor will it be some fast food shake-any of these powders will be pretty far from that, but LIKEWISE, instead of giving you food coma and constipation as their after effect (even if they drop some dopamine in the system and give a "high") they are going to make you feel GREAT. I figured that even if I didn't feel much different with these powders, at least it would be a good health thing to put in my body. Additionally it'd be good to look up an alkaline diet and alkalizing your blood and why having acidic blood is so bad for your system. Things like coffee and alcohol acidify the blood and things like lemons, even though they are acidic on the outside, once they get in your body they alkalize the blood and are so great for you! So for years now I have had issues with health that I've just wanted to feel like myself again. Now I'm not feeling quite as bouncy as I did in high school but I can't remember feeling this good fairly consistently in quite a while. I generally don't drink caffeine and when I have I don't feel much effect anyhow so I really don't think it's the caffeine in here giving me the boost- I think it's the contents. I am doing an internship now and the first several days of it I was ready to fall asleep much of the day, feeling sluggish like I wasn't getting enough oxygen, and even if I'd just have a salad for lunch and nothing heavy I'd still get sleepy after lunch and then and in general I would feel like most days took an effort like trying to trudge through a pool of jello-- so I'm not buzzing around bouncing off the walls, but it's a calm and peaceful kind of energy, I don't have to struggle to stay awake and I don't have the heavy drowsy feeling like something is stepping on me. And I have noticed, on the days I haven't taken it (more likely when I'm not going in for internship) I do notice a difference, even though most days I still feel better than I did before I started taking it. It came in the mail a bit into the internship and I'd say I've taken it maybe 7 times in the last 2 weeks or so. Don't mean to be dramatic but it really does feel like a bit of a miracle. I was hoping and hoping and hoping I'd somehow someway find something to help me feel better, and I really feel good about this! As for the taste-- I just put it in a smoothie, that "suspends" the grittiness etc and so I don't notice it much, don't taste it much, it's not as hard to take down. Years ago there was some diet in one of those health magazines and it was to alkalize the body. Not only were you supposed to drink baking soda in water which made me gag, there was some kind of green powder back then that also was almost unbearable so what good is some wonderful diet if your issue is not "I'm hungry" but "omg I can't even get this down" so.....man.....this is just so much better and SOoOOoOo worth the price. I believe in "you either pay the doctors or you pay the farmer" and so not only that, but I'd rather spent time outside on a farm than in a hospital, I'm about prevention over having to fix a problem once it's already in progress. Oh another note before I forget, I've been putting it in hemp shakes along with hemp protein and fiber. I next have ordered the meal from this same company and we'll see how that goes-- It's not DELICIOUS but it's more than bearable and even my mom thinks it's decent and she's pickier about health food than I am-- with the hemp shakes she says they remind her of halva a little bit--so I put this powder usually in the vanilla one or maybe the berry, the chocolate is pushing the limits of tastiness with this flavor grass powder-- So in conclusion-- THIS IS GREAT and unless you don't care about taste or texture, PUT IT IN A SMOOTHIE!!!! I don't see any reason to put it in just water or juice unless you REALLY LIKE THAT but try it first in the way you're more likely to have a GOOD experience instead of initially having a yucky experience and thus giving yourself an aversion to it.... I hope you have as wonderful of an experience as I have!!!

GREAT product, though I could do without the 'Tangerine' flavoring
*TASTE* I'm not too keen on the flavor, the "Tangerine" flavoring is absolutely horrid, in my humble opinion. I've tasted the 'ORAC' version, in the purple container, and that is by far my favorite. It's really, REALLY good, not too grassy, and has a subtle, fruity sweetness that I really enjoy. That being said, I wasn't in this for the flavoring from the get go, so I didn't let that simple fact hinder my rating of the product. *APPLICATION* I take one scoop in about 4 ounces of water, and get it over with first thing when I wake up, then I eat breakfast about an hour later. It goes down well, it's a tad bit gritty, but what can you expect? There's a bunch of different grasses in the product, they can only get it so fine. I do feel more regular when taking the product. I also feel more energized, relaxed, and balanced. I've only been taking it for 7 days, though, so I will be sure to update this review in 30 days. *OVERVIEW* I like the company and what they stand for, so I'll be ordering a 100 serving size of the 'ORAC' formula in a couple of days. I'm not sure that I even want to finish this container, but I shall! Waste not want not. It's a good product, and the prices on Amazon can't be beat. If you want a sense of well-being, want to boost your immune system naturally, and don't have the time or the willpower to stuff the recommended servings of ORGANIC greens and whatnot down your throat, or they're simply not ACCESSIBLE to you, then I highly recommend this product. The only downfall of the formula, in my opinion, would be that it's not a significant source of Magnesium, Manganese, Vitamin K, B12, B6 Potassium, Calcium, & Iron. This fact doesn't make or break the formula, just know that I foolishly went into it thinking that this would take the place of other supplements and nutrition, which is not the case. You will have to supplement the lacking vitamins and minerals by eating REAL FOOD, or taking a separate supplement. Well done 'Amazing Grass', money well spent.

Pretty good supplement on paper, hoping the body will like it in the long term.
I bought Amazing Grass to mix in as part of an energy drink for a healthy snack or recovery after a long run, and also just as a supplement. The reviews are wonderful and the price wasn't too bad, so I bought the Chocolate variety for mixing with unsweetened Almond milk and Plant Fusion protein powder. Sometimes when I'm hungry and need the drink to be filling, I also add a dollop of peanut butter. So, the taste. I've never tasted wheatgrass or any other "superfood supplement" and I can only imagine that they taste like vomit, as people count Amazing Grass as one of the better tasting drinks of its kind... while I find myself doing all kinds of flavor mixing just to be able to tolerate a single scoop in ~ 16oz of liquid. It smells and looks just like the henna you use to dye your hair! It tastes like hay, like barnyard dried grassy hay. Not super unpleasant, but not something I'd imagine someone would choose to eat if it didn't come with other, larger benefits. I cannot detect any cocoa flavor in it. It says cocoa on the ingredient list, but it's pure grass in flavor. The physical results: I'm not sure. I've been drinking one serving a day for a month now, and it's very hard to say if it's done much on its own. I've definitely benefited from eliminating dairy from my diet (which I did concurrently with starting Amazing Grass) and I'm confident the probiotics are healthy for me, but I don't feel any extra energy or anything like that. Nor did I expect to, since none of the ingredients are those that would give the average person's body an actual short-term boost. When I recently went on vacation and forgot to bring any with, there wasn't any difference in my daily energy or feelings of health, though I started right back up upon returning home. Now after 30 days of use, when it came time to reorder, I thought about it carefully and I realized I'm pretty happy with the way I'm feeling these days and in case any part of that came from the addition of Amazing Grass, I'm purchasing another container. This time I've ordered the non-flavored stuff, since it was less expensive and I've been adding a teaspoon of cocoa powder to my drinks anyway to help mask the hay-like henna flavor. I guess now I'll see if the minimal amount of cocoa they put in the chocolate variety had any flavor to it! :::UPDATE::: Since the above review I've been using the unflavored Amazing Grass and haven't noticed any taste difference between it and the chocolate once it's mixed into my vanilla almond milk. I've completely gotten used to the taste and the grassy hay flavor has become very normal to me, so I no longer need to mask it with a lot of cocoa powder unless I'm in the mood for chocolate. Overall I feel kind of like I do when taking a multivitamin: I can't feel any immediate difference, but I believe it's rounding out my diet in good but subtle ways, so I'll continue to take it.
