Microplane Artisan Series Parmesan Cheese Grater and Zester (Fine, Green)

This micro planer feels great in your hand. It is an easy grip and doesn’t slip around. It sharp blade works so well in any type of grateable food, like hard cheese, orange zest, lemon zest, lime zest, whole nutmeg, etc. the handle and blade are excellent quality. It’s easy to just wash down or throw in the dishwasher. Storage is easy and it comes with a blade guard. I bought a generic brand from a department store. It was terrible. I threw it out and got this - the real thing.

I love this grater. It is good for grating parmesan cheese or zesting lemons. One of those tools that I will always have in my kitchen. The slide on cover is perfect for storing the grater in a drawer. I've had mine for at least 10 years and it works perfectly. Purchased a second one for a vacation home.

This is a wonderful tool that we use to make lemon and orange zest from fruit and to grate parmesan cheese into nearly powder fine! So easy to use. We have had one for several years and have purchased others for gifts. The Microplane is sharp and dishwasher safe. There is no need to disassemble anything prior to cleaning, and it comes with a detachable safety shield when not in use. For the low price you will not find a better deal. Don't spend extra money when you do not need to ! Highly recommended.⁩

I love this thing so much that my husband has begun teasing me about it, because I often bring up in conversation how great it is (I cook a LOT). He doesn't cook often, but finally used it the other day to zest a lemon and he had to admit he saw what all my fuss was about! It sounds so silly but using this thing is a pleasure and fun! You get so much zest off of one lemon or lime it is ridiculous! Beautiful fluffy piles of delicious citrusy zest! And don't get me started on how awesome it grates garlic, which I use in probably 85% of my recipes. I also recently have started using fresh ginger and it grates that beautifully as well. It sits nicely on top of a small-medium bowl, or you can rest it inside of a larger bowl. The handle is quite comfortable, and it is practically effortless to run your produce of choice over this thing. You will get the job done in a snap. Also, it is a breeze to clean. I usually give it a good rinse when I'm done if I'm not washing it right away because I was afraid the dried produce would stick on it, and that can sometimes be a gluey situation, but I accidentally left it out overnight on the counter dirty the other day, and it was still super easy to clean. And you can't beat the price. Love this product!

This works really well on garlic, lemons and hard cheeses. It rinses off easily so you’re able to work with different foods without having to really scrub it. The handle is very comfortable which is great when grating harder foods.

Our old little zester thing my wife used to use a lot broke and I researched around for a best replacement. This brand came up a lot so I got it. The best thing about it is the rubber part on the end so if you want to rest it on a countertop so it'll stay put, that works well. I only gave it 4 starts for easy to clean, which might not be fair because no grater is really easy to clean. Some stuff always gets a bit stuck in the parts and it can take bit of effort or rising to remove. But when it comes to the work part, this thing does its job. Really sharp and smooth during the process. It creates exactly what you want from a zester. We've tried it mostly with lemons and limes, but I'm sure would be fine for just about anything.

I've had very bad luck with zesters in the past so I wasn't expecting much, but this product far exceeded my expectations. It did an excellent job and was well worth the price. I strongly recommend it for zesting. I have not used it yet for grating but have no reason to think it wouldn't work for that as well.

I'm not a fan. It seems to have gotten dull much more quickly than the early microplane models, and while the handle is useful, food gets trapped between the plastic rim and the back of the grating surface, making cleanup a hassle.
