Works fine and easy to fit

Excellent piece of kit. When adjusted correctly it gives a very positive and accurate change in the gears. No half way there chattering chain wondering if it shoukd go up or down . The two clicks selection is also very good but here you can get slight hesitation and slip before selection is made. My first one of these was stolen with the bike. Its UP selector lever was definitely longer. This is my only complaint with this unit. From right to left i mounted handlebar grip_brake lever_gear lever. This arrangement leaves the UP selector short and a stretch to reach easily with your thumb. If it were summer and i was mounting it again i might consider ( right to left) handlebar grip_ gear selector_brake lever. The problem may then be interference with the brake lever mounting bracket...but at least you would be able to reach the lever more easily

Product arrived as planned works well as a replacement unit. Slight adjustment needed for correct gear alignment, no concerns operationally recommend.

Found feeding cable a difficult task to secure at end point. Had to remove cover to get it to feed correctly. I also made a mess of routing it/removing it through outer casing. So left it to bike mechanic to tidy up the resulting mess. Would think I'd be more successful next time!

I searched for a replacement gear shifter and found some a bit cheaper but reviews said their quality was poor. I am happy with this one, works great and comes with a new cable, so all you need. Very happy with it, better than my original shifter, easy to install

For an old mountain bike from the 1980ies with Shimano Deore LX gears, I needed a new gear selector. No longer availablefor order from Shimano by the bike repair shop, he ordered some cheap no-brand chinese made selectors. They worked for a few months before they went very harsh and finally broke. I searched for real Shimano 7-speed gear selector here on Amazon and found these. Ordered them. 1 day later delivered. Original Shimano box with all accessories included, even a lead cable tip to press on the cut cable end. Love it. Very good quality. Install was so easy and straightforward. First test and I didn’t even need to tune the gear change it worked right away for all gears. Great stuff! Recommended.
