Little Cowgirls LOVE it!
I cannot say enough good things about this toy. If you're concerned about the price, don't be. The exercise involved in making it go is well worth the price. The only problem I have with it is getting the grandbaby off it. She literally rides it till she falls asleep on it. If you notice the video, she stops every few feet to hug it. Aside from how much she adores the Ponycycle, the toy itself seems very well made and likely to last for years to come. She needed the pedal extensions which made the horse a lot easier for her to ride and she will ride it for hours in circles around the house. I expect to be searching for mechanics to rebuild this one before she outgrows it.

The brand/quality we needed
A favorite! We purchased two much cheaper ones — not sure if they are “knock offs” but they were a different brand— and had to return those. We knew some who owned pony cycle, and knew they should move easier and better than the ones we started with. This really works much better for us! Easy to put together, and our kids can get moving on it immediately and navigate our small home with relative ease. It’s best on hard floors, but does move across our low pile rug. It does not back up, if necessary, the rider has to get off and manually turn it around or get adult help to lift it out of the corner etc. I often find it abandoned in corner or stuck on the carpet or a mess that’s on the floor, where they’ve been stuck and just hope off and move on to something else. It does motivate us to keep the floor as clear as possible— it really doesn’t drive over and through little toys, laundry or anything else in its way very well. It works ok outdoors for us, down hill much better than back up (even at slightly incline) but keep in mind there are no breaks. It doesn’t climb over cracks in the sidewalk etc very easily, at least with our 3 year old driving. Every one who comes over wants a turn, even bigger kids, although we have to enforce the weigh limit — it’s too expensive to take any risks of breaking. It would be most fun in a wide open space with hard floors to really just cruise around, but is still highly enjoyed in our chaotic space.

Its the favorite ride on toy
My daughter got this for her 2nd birthday. We added the pedal extenders and she was able to ride it without an issue. At the time she was 34 inches. It is her absolute favorite ride on toy. She prefers it over her electric tractor and her power wheels. She also loves to play with this toy inside. She spends time grooming and eating it. I love that it's not as big as I had expected. It's easy to take inside/outside.

Built well, measurements correct.
This pony is built well. We bought it for our 5 yr old granddaughter. (Size 5) It was def. Too big for her but they decided to keep it to get a lot of use out of it since it is pricey. (Also older brother could ride it). Other ride ons marked with these same age requirements, that we have purchased, were too small so we went larger however, I agree with manufacturer on this one. Ordered a little one for our 2 yr old granddaughter!

PonyCycle review
My 3 year old was asking over and over again for a "Spirit horsie" (Spirit is the name of a horse in one of her favorite cartoon movies). She's just starting to know who Santa is but there was no question of "I want a Spirit". I found this in a general Internet search of "Spirit horse", "toy horse", etc etc and I thought if the quality was acceptable then it might work out. It's PERFECT. It's now her best friend. She absolutely loves it. It's heavy enough that it won't fall over. It's sturdy as heck with very simply "one bolt" assembly. She jumps up and down, and steers, and rides it all over the house. I give this the maximum rating from all perspectives but in terms of QUALITY just outstanding. Thanks to you all for building such a great old fashioned / modern toy.

A huge hit with the whole family! Worth the price, "you get what you pay for"
This is a bit more expensive than some other similar items, but it works great and is very sturdy. We have kids from 2 to 6 riding this and they are rough and tumble with it. It took a bit of practice for the younger kids to find the right motion/rhythm but now they go great and love this toy. It does not turn around, but it's easy and sturdy enough for them to get on and off to turn it around themselves. It's a favorite at all the gatherings.
