If I could give this a zero, I absolutely would. I bought this grinder specifically to process beef and venison, expecting something durable and powerful — what I got was complete junk. Five minutes into grinding, the machine just died. No warning, no lights, nothing. Took the whole thing apart, cleaned it thoroughly, put it back together… still dead. Completely unresponsive, like nobody’s home. This thing didn’t even last long enough to get through a single session. Total waste of money. Save yourself the frustration and do NOT buy this — spend your money on a Cabela’s brand grinder instead if you actually want something that works. I’m beyond disappointed that I even gave this product a chance.

Excellent meat grinder. Handled the deer my son in law got this year easily and fairly quietly.

My brother picked up a 26 LB Chuck Roll at Costco for $4.99 a pound (Jan 02 2026). We cut out 2 roasts out of the center, each were about 4.3 LBs. And cut the rest up in about 2 inch strips. I canned 4 qt jars for myself. The rest we ground up. This went pretty fast and did need the plunger half of the time. We did stop to let the machine cool down around every 15 minutes, feel the back of the machine with the aluminum casing, you can judge for yourself when it might be getting too hot. But moreover it is best to put the meat in the fridge to keep it cold. If the fat gets too warm it will not gring as well. We ground up meat with the plate with the large holes and thought it looked ok, but when I pattied out some quarter pounders you could see a lot of large hunks of fat in them. So we ground it all a second time with the small holes and it now looked like what you get at the super market. Note on the 2nd grind we used the plunger a lot. I caught this on sale under $47. Definately worth it.

I started grinding my own meat to save money and to insure quality. As this was kinda an experiment, I didn't want to invest too much in the tools until I knew it was what I wanted. Well, this grinder exceeded my expectations. It is fast, not too loud, easy to clean, and does a great job with even a single pass. I had tried a manual grinder and between the constant clogging and the slow progress, I almost quit before I even tried this grinder. What a difference. For not really that much more, the difference is like night and day. One big difference I noticed was in the internal construction. This unit has all metal components and the manual grinder had nylon spacers. Of course, I'll have to use it for a while to tell its stamina but I expect it to last. All-in-all a definitely good buy for me.
