Mother's Recipe Punjabi Mango Pickle 500 Grams, 17.64 Oz

The product is original and tastes perfect but it is much better to buy offline. I bought it online for convenience but it costs like $3 more. Overall it’s good.

I had an Indian friend who owned an Indian food store, and I've never had any "bad" pickled mango, and I've had many brands, until now. This stuff is disgusting.

The jar was so filled with seed shards that you could feel them scraping the spoon, when stirring it. Nearly every spoonful contained seed fragments. Some spoonfuls were more seed than pickled mango. Seed fragments ranged in size a thumb nail to a pinky nail. Many were flat, some were sharp. It's hard to enjoy when you have to take so much care picking out the shards. The flavor of the pickled mango itself was pretty good: decent spice and sharp, tangy pickle flavor. It very nearly scratched the itch. Unfortunately, it was also too salty. Pickled mango has long been a favorite of ours. We never seemed to go far wrong buying it from the local Indian market (tried many brands). I don't recall any being this salty or seed-filled before. Will have to keep looking.

I was craving some spicy Indian pickle, not too hot, not too mild. This mango pickle is just right. Classic, Indian, curried pickle flavor. Arrived quickly, well packed, in perfect condition.

This stuff is delicious. Tart, tangy, mustardy, but not actually hot. I'm allergic to peppers, tomatoes, gluten, soy and sugar - and the punjabi mango pickle is free of them, which is great! It has large chunks of tart green pickled mango in a thick mustard-oily orange sauce bursting with spicy flavor. Very good on anything with beans and rice, or anything Indian or curried. Just beware - there are mango seed fragments attached to some of the mango sections and they are not nice to bite into! However, the pit fragments are part of the subtle flavoring of the pickle, so I bear with them. I did not buy this on Amazon but at an Indian food mart, where it is a fraction of the price offered here.

Amazing, super flavourful, just like the kind my grandmother used to make when i was young. Love love love it, definitely buying again when my current jar finishes.

Way too salty to be enjoyable. Have to be careful of sharp shards of mango pit shells.
