This phone is very good indeed.
I Think that this item is very good indeed It makes it easy for people who have problems with their hands to answer phones when they ring. The service is great as always.

Works just fine....and it's cheap.
We almost never use the landline but it comes with the internet and thought it would be good to have something to plug in in case of an emergency, preferably with a speaker on it to deal with those long 'on-hold' session. This does the the job just great. It's a bit light, so it does get pulled across the desk under the springiness of the cord but I can live with that: screwed to the wall it would be 100% fine.

This phone is horrible
This is positively the worst phone I've ever bought and I wish I'd gone to Argus instead. It is very diffifult to pick up. The cord between the phone and the receiver is WAY TOO SHORT and forces the user to adopt a very uncomfortable position. The instructions are very difficult to understand. The sound of the dialing and ringing tones are harsh and too loud (even on a minimal setting). I had problems entering my account number using online banking because each time you try to enter a digit there is a deafening CLICK, which prevented the number being recognised. If you have an enemy you really despise, send them one of these phones. TWO MORE THINGS I HATE ABOUT THIS ROTTEN PHONE. 1. If you happen to unplug the phone because you don't want to be disturbed, you'll find that when you plug it back in it will have FORGOTTEN any settings you have made, so you'll have to start again from scratch. 2. The cheap keys have only got numbers on, so if Virgin Media ask you to press the key that has the 3rd letter of your password, you'll need to have a proper phone nearby to refer to. Talk about Amateur Hour...

MY MOTHER IS DELIGHTED
I bought this for my mother who has arthritis so can't use small fiddly buttons. She also is hard of hearing and has difficulty using a handset. A landline phone is a lifeline for her. She's delighted with this phone. She says the ring of it seems less loud than the large format BT one she had before but the hand's free mic feature means that she can hear her caller much more clearly. It took me a long time to find a sturdy large format phone with the needed features as my mother is 95 and doesn't understand all the bells and whistles on other available models - for that matter, I wouldn't want them myself. The other thing we like is that it has a certain heft and doesn't easily slide about or fall on the floor as many flimsy models do. A great, plain, no nonsense phone. Mother is delighted with it.

Good corded phone
The instructions are very poor otherwise there would have been a higher rating

Hands Free
This phone set-up was straightforward but every time I try to go to hands free in a call by pressing the hands free button i lose the call! The instructions that come with it do not help with this matter. They only say press the hands free button to make a hands free call which is fine except the person called cannot hear very well due to the microphone being obstructed by the handset! Also there was no details of how to contact anyone for help with these problems. However, the phone was replaced free-of-charge when I contacted the seller and this replacement works fine. It was one item, probably among many that worked fine, with a glitch.

It's a basic phone that works as youers expect. Nothing fancy but you can dial numbers and receive calls. Good voice quality.

ORIGINAL POST: I got this phone for my mother. Her vision isn't the greatest and she shakes, so the big numbers help her while dialing. The phone is very lightweight, which is good, but the receiver cord tends to pull the whole phone if you start moving with it. It works best to keep on the nightstand or on a bed for easy access. I bought a long cord for the phone jack so she can move the whole phone close by, wherever she sits. EDIT: After using this phone for a while, I’m lowering the rating. It is a very cheap plastic phone. The phone is so light, picking up the receiver always pulls the phone around. The volume of the digital ring is very loud and piercing for my mother’s roommate, so we keep it on low. The buttons look and feel like they are going to come loose, and there’s usually crackling on the line when you’re making a call. I’d recommend a better quality phone if you have the option.

It's an Ok phone. we live in a rural area and our other phones are cordless. I like having one phone that it is still useable when the electric goes out. It's ok, not great but serves it's purpose, the price was right.

These are getting so demanding. I really haven't accessed my phone yet. All i can say is I have found nothing wrong with it and it was delivered as promised.

It’s a good little phone, but there is no way to turn down the volume, so the person talking to you is blowing out your eardrum and you will need Tylenol after to ease the pain!
