The cloth itself is fine, it works well. After using it three or four times I popped it into the washing machine, but I have one of those modern ones that protects itself and won't spin if there's too much weight on one side. Normally it faffs about for a minute or two, re-distributing the items until it's happy, but with just the one item it gave up and I had to ring it out by hand. Maybe my machine is super fussy, but I thought I'd mention it.One minor quibble, not a biggie, but I was disappointed with the user support response I got. I sent them an email asking for advise on cleaning it and they replied telling me that I had sent the request to the wrong team, and then included the address of the team I should send my request too. Why they couldn't just forward it is beyond me.

I've not tried the woolly mammoth towel yet, however I've purchased 2 of these new towels both in grey. Washed and prepped them the same way I do all my drying towels ( low temp wash, in the machine by themselves. Cool air tumble dry then air dry to finish) But these things are terrible, they leave flint fibres all over the panel. The slightest dab on water is enough to release the fibres. Ive gone past the window of return and they are only fit for the bin, or cleaning the mountain bikes maybe. Do not waste you money.

Washed this 4 times and it still leaves white lint all over vehicle. It also doesn't glide over the surface like other (double hook) alternatives.

This is so big you can clean a whole car twice, great
