Cuisinart CTG-00-MST Microwave Steamer

Love this for steaming veggies, perfect amount for 2 large servings. Compact steamer, my veggies come out perfect every time, just pop in microwave and have something healthy in a jif!

I had another steamer that I used forever and I had to finally replace it. This steamer is wonderful. The size is great for my peppers, asparagus and broccoli. It fits nicely in my microwave, and it washed up easily. I wash it by hand but I wouldn't hesitate to wash it in the dishwasher, top rack.

I don't like to cook, especially after I get home from work. But, I do love fresh veggies and this is a truly wonderful way to cook them. Very easy and fast! Clean up is also fast and easy. This is becoming my favorite kitchen gadget!

I've used this steamer several times to steam apples. It works very well. It has a very large steaming capacity, which is a mixed blessing - it's larger than it needs to be when a person wants to steam a small amount of food. I went to the Cuisinart web site to download the instructions, which include suggested water quantity and steam times for different foods. On that note: in the video review posted by Alyssa Golder, she mentions that the steamer comes with an instruction booklet. Maybe she bought it from Cuisinart or from somewhere else because when a person buys it from Amazon it does NOT come with a booklet.

Sweet potatoes turned out terrific with just the right softness, but stained the tray. . I bought this specifically for sweet potato treats for my dogs. I have since steamed asparagus and regular potatoes with great results. The plastic is of good heavy quality and the plastic remains in excellent condition, despite the staining. The bottom of the bowl is stamped recycle 5 (In pic) which is the code for polypropylene, a BPA free substance. So I will continue to use it. 1 star off for the staining, which makes the dish look dirty every time I use it.

Really well constructed. It is made of a good thick material. Easy to clean and looks like it would hold a good amount of veggies. Great design for longer veggies like asparagus. I can see where the white insert could get stained by carrots or sweet potatoes like others mentioned, but honestly who cares every plastic container I have had has stained it’s plastic that’s gonna happen. It in no way affects how the cooker works. I thought it was a great price for the quality of the product.

Great for steaming, broccoli and asparagus and fish

Absolute best steamer. I was looking for something to put in an Insta pot for just a few vegetables. This is far superior to anything I would have to haul out for my Insta pot. Cooks veggies perfectly. My only complaint is that there is no instruction/cooking guide included despite the fact the literature says it is. I had to order it three times and still no literature came. So I ended up looking it up one line printing it out and putting it in a space close by the steamer.

We accidentally ruined one of our collapsible strainers trying to steam some vegetables and decided to look for a microwave steamer. While most of the options out there were bulky, this Cuisinart steamer was a bit more streamlined and - bonus points - it was rectangular to facilitate properly steaming longer vegetables like asparagus. We've used it a number of times and the vegetables come out perfectly crisp and not over done. Takes no time at all and allows for a bit more pot space on a very small cooktop. The steamer is really well made, more than adequate size for us and fits easily into our microwave to full rotate on the turntable. Very pleased with this steamer and would highly recommend.

Our first venture with a steamer. Great for the 2 of us for almost any type of veggie for sides at lunch or supper. So far, we have done small potatoes, with broccoli . We washed & pierced the potatoes & larger ones we cut in half….. add 2 Tablespoons of water to the bottom, put steamer rack on top with your veggies laid out ,then the steamer cover & in approx. 5-8 minutes in the microwave, well all done ! I didn’t open the “ vent “ on the top & veggies were fantastic & super QUICK ‼️. Loved the ease of use, & steamer wash up was a breeze 😊✔️. Now on to carrots, asparagus & whatever else we can think of !
