Excellent coverage with a deep black finish and easy application
This paint is extremely high quality. I used it on my wooden front door and gave it several coats, and the finish came out perfect. The black is very dark and rich, exactly what I wanted. It has minimal smell, goes on smoothly and I had very few drips, which made the job much easier. I also used it on my metal fence railing in the driveway and the coating there is just as good. It grips well to both wood and metal and leaves a strong, durable finish. The paint mixed well straight out of the tin and applied evenly every time. The 2.5 litres was more than enough for everything I needed, and I still have plenty left over for touch-ups or other projects. For the price, the value for money is excellent considering the coverage and the professional-looking result. A superior gloss paint that I would happily use again.

Best external gloss so far.
Fantastic coverage, and as a regular user of paints from different manufacturers, I have to say that this is the best so far. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for. It's very thin for a gloss paint, which made it ideal for use in a spray gun, but it did leave it patchy. A second coat was applied via brush and this covered all the grain marks without leaving any brush marks. The only odd thing is that when applied via the spray gun, it smelled of nothing. However, when applied via brush it was quite noticeable. This probably wouldn't be an issue for external items, but inside my workshop is noticeable. One last piece of advice, in cold and damp conditions like my workshop, items are taking approximately two days to dry before handling. So make note of the weather conditions before painting.

Good paint but ....
I am a massive fan of Dulux paints and have used (and still do) them on all sorts of situations both inside and out with great results. I wanted to repaint my front door, back door and garage door, but unfortunately I had used the last of the Dulux Trafalgar Blue paint I have used to for the last 30 years and the colour is no longer available. The nearest to it is 'Oxford Blue' which is a slightly deeper blue, but that isn't a bad thing really. I have never used Weather Shield paint before but I though the name alone meant quality. I usually use the 'Professional' paint for Brilliant White Gloss and Undercoat and that IS a quality paint ! I was a little taken aback when I started to stir this paint as it is 'very' thin ! I carried on regardless, but as a precaution I put down a cotton backed polythene dust sheet, something I have never really used despite buying it, as I load my brush up so it doesn't drip, and have even painted on carpets without using a dust sheet for years... foolish perhaps I know. Believe me you MUST put down a dust sheet when using this paint as even with great care I ended up with about 12 blobs of paint on the dustsheet, not good. Parts of the door had the Dulux Professional White undercoat on it, but the Weather Shield did NOT cover this with one coat, another disappointment for me, as with the 'old' Dulux paints it used to cover no problem. So to sum up, it is very runny (almost like water) and the coverage is not good if you have used a primer or undercoat, I actually had to use 2 coats instead of the usual one. I very nearly only gave it 3 stars but decided on 4 because the end result was REALLY impressive, great colour with a nice deep gloss, to be honest it did look a lot better then the old Trafalgar Blue I had use for the last 30 years or so. I have bought a BIG tin of this for future use (and it was better value for money to buy the bigger tin) and I will definitely use it again, but please do be aware of the two problem areas and you will be OK.

Fabulous finish, great coverage, brilliant product
Great quality accurate coverage fantastic finish and quick drying, a more superior finish than cheaper products as it’s water based there’s no unpleasant odour and if pets or children brush up against it, it washes off no problem

Does what it says on the tin!
It’s great when a product works exactly as described, this is top notch paint, goes on well and stays white. Been using this for a few years now and it’s my go to exterior paint .

Brilliant paint
Lovely paint! It went on smoothly, minimum odour. I had to make some repairs to an outdoor storage box. The colour was nice and bright and perfectly matched the existing paint so I didn't have to do the whole thing, just the bits that needed it. Very happy.

Decent Quality if Applied Correctly
Used this on a few occasions and it's easy to apply as long as not in direct sunlight where it dries too quickly, but this could be the case for most water based paint. It will last a good while as long as it's applied to a sound surface that's been previously primed/undercoated, or painted and stil sound and not flaking. Just follow the guidelines and there should be no issues.
