Another great KastKing rod purchase that I've made. The 7ft, 2 piece spinning rod comes with 2 top sections. One is Medium and the other is Medium/Heavy. It's like getting two rods for the price of one! The finish on the rod is absolutely beautiful. By the reel seat you get nice shiny carbon fiber while the main sections are a nice matte black finish. With the Medium top on, the rod is pretty stiff; stiffer than a typical Medium rod, but does not affect the fast tip sensitivity. I like that there are arrows where the two pieces join which allow you easily line them up without having to sight through the guides to ensure the guides are lined up straight. Though the lower section is nice and thick, the rod itself is very lightweight as carbon fiber should be. Depending on the upper section you attach, be sure to follow the lure/line weight guide to ensure optimum performance experience. Extremely pleased with this purchase and can highly recommend it because it comes with a "Best-in-claass Lifetime Total Warranty"! KastKing clearly stands behind their products.

Nothing was damaged during shipping , it feels super light and durable . I paired it with the magatron 3000 reel and it feels awesome . Can’t wait to fish it . Also the two tips are awesome to be able to switch out Used it this weekend and landed a couple good bass . It casts well , and has pretty good action . Better than any rod I’ve had at this price point

I caught a bunch of nice bass with this rod. I used the MH tip. I unfortunately broke about 3 weeks after my exchange window. Im not sure why it broke. I was really bummed until I realized it had broken high enough up the rod, that I could still use the other tip. Its a medium.. Really miss the MH tip. I wonder if its possible to buy the MH tip. If anybody knows please let me know thanks Steve PS After looking at other reviews I see Im not the only one who had trouble with them breaking!! Kast King I wasnt a new MH tip!! A 60 $ rod should last longer than a couple months!!!!! I have to ammend this review...... after contacting customer service,, my whole issue was resolved. I purchased this pole for myself to use as a bass pole for large and smallmouth fishing. Once the ice finally melted and spring decided to show up here in the western NY area I was able to take it out and get on the water. Im not a fan of bait caster reels, it’s spinning and spincast for me. Being this pole is a two for one price you cant lose. I mounted a 507MK II abu Garcia reel on it and off I went. The light weight construction and durability was quickly evident when landing fish. I took it to an annual fishing trip to Lake Champlain on Memorial day and fish it with ned rigs, jerk baits and football jigs for the next 4 days. Never had a problem with it and caught many smallmouth and northern pike on it. The price point is great and like I said two poles with different top actions. Going to see if they have a heavy tip available for dense cover fishing. I am very happy with this product.
