Well worth buying works really well when locating studs and electrical wires

Works extremely well, showing stud centres in very helpful, results are much more consistent than the bosch unit at more than twice the price. I'm very confident with the reading's that it returns.

This finds studs effortlessly and is very precise in doing so. I use this for hanging interactive screens via a wall bracket, it's never let me down, fantastic value for money especially when I've purchased much cheaper ones in the past and they have been as useful as a wet paper bag. Also buy the case for your sensor and keep it protected at all time. Definitely recommend this product.

This is handy for finding studs, the multiple leds giving a useful indication of the width of the stud without having to approach from two sides and approximate the middle. It is a bit too sensitive in some respects in that given a slightly uneven wall, it will think there is a stud when part is not touching the wall so you still need to test in multiple ways. It is, however, absolutely useless for detecting electric cables concealed in the wall. You put it on the wall and move across to where it finds a source. Then you move it away and it still finds the source. You turn it off and on again and it can't find that source again. Touch the wall with your free hand and there are no electric sources even right over a power socket. Put two hands on the handle and the results are different again. Maybe there is a magic solution where you stand on one leg gripping the handle in your teeth where it might give a sensible reading but if there is I couldn't find it. Overall, disappointing, was not worth paying extra for the live wire detection as it does not work.

Great quality easy to use

I purchased this after seeing multiple reviews and forums saying its a good bit of kit. Hadn't really used ot since purchasing until I went to put my son's tv on the wall and noticed that it displays 1 to 2 bar on the electricity gauge when there isn't anything there in the wall or anything near or around that area. It also shows studs intermittently. For the price this isn't worth buying and I really dont trust it... maybe its better suited for the United States with them having a different voltage on the electricals and possibly different stud wall types

Great stud finder, found the wooden stud I needed to find to hang a heavy wall clock, great how you can even see the width of the stud and a green light indicates the center. Not tried it for metal or wires yet but would recommend.
