When I originally saw these, I was a little put off by the photos showing damage with peeling non-stick surfaces. Then on reading the reviews, seeing some people were complaining they weren't that great and had problems with getting help from Circulon in light of the "lifetime guarantee". I bought them back in January and first thing I did was to go and track them down on Twitter (how did we manage before the Internet?). I seem to remember although I can't be sure, that somebody said they were unhelpful there or there was some issue or other which is why I went to look for myself. Either way, at the time I could see they were responding to people tweeting them directly for help. Obviously I have no idea what happens if they go to DM or outside of Twitter, but they seemed responsive and willing to help. So I couldn't understand why people were having so many issues. In the end, I bough them for a good price, I had originally been planning to buy the Jamie Oliver Tefal pans, but they were more expensive at the time and also the reviews of those were just as hit and miss as well. In the end, I figured that I preferred the look of these pans and of course it helped they were much cheaper at the time. I remember a saying from years ago "they'd turn up to the opening of an envelope" to suggest that Z-list Big Brother "celebs" would milk it for all it was worth on exiting the house. However in this case it's not so much about personal publicity as it is relying on the Jamie Oliver "brand" to sell cookware. Yes my experience of Tefal is from their cheaper cookware and yes they did the job. But I wanted something nicer with a more professional feel and better quality. I can't help but feel having looked at the Jamie Olive Tefal range in store previously before Covid, that I couldn't justify why they were so much more expensive than other 'Hard Anodized Cookware'. I can only assume that slapping the Jamie Oliver name on them means he gets a large royalty check and that has to be paid somehow. These Circulon pans on the other hand aren't relying on a celebrity chef to sell them and if potential customers were to rely on the negative reviews to make an informed judgement. They'd even go out of business or need to sign up Heston or Gordon Ramsey quick sharp to sway people's opinions. But personally, I've been using them for two months. I never put them in the dishwasher because they're so easy to clean in the sink with some detergent and hot water, you just don't need to risk them going through the dishwasher. Even when I'm burnt food in the pan, it always comes off quite easily. Next up, I've never used metal spoons or anything else metallic in the pans, I've always used plastic ones which I previously used in my old Tefal cookwares. So I don't have scratches on any of them, none of the non-stick surface is coming away or showing any signs that it wants to. I've used these on a daily basis for 2 months now and I'm as happy today as I was when they arrived and I got them out of the box. The handles are great, the lids are great. They're also a lot deeper than my old Tefal ones they have replaced which has been especially useful as I can fit so much more in. Remember, this is my limited experience and I'm not doubting others experience of them or how they've used them. If they say they've not done anything that could have damaged them such as the dishwasher, metal spoons, left on the hob with high heat with no water or oil in them, etc. Then I guess they may have got unlucky or it's a matter or when, not if, mine will go the same way and I'll cause to come back and update my own review. But until then, it's not happened yet so 5 stars it is and I'm very happy that I ignored the bad reviews and bought them when I did.

Great pots and pans, best we've ever owned imo, great non stick oily residues etc just slide off,, I've waited a few months before reviewing these due to other reviews about flaking non stick coating as I was dubious if these customers are aware of how to look after coated pots and pans, so I treated mine as one should , ie: wash them individually in hot soapy water with a non scratch sponge or a cloth or put in a dishwasher, only use wooden or plastic utensils ALWAYS!! no exceptions!, and never ever put cold water into a hot metal pan as this rapidly shrinks the metal thus the coating may not shrink as fast causing some flaking of the coating, my pans used every day, look exactly the same as when I unpacked them by sticking to the above simple rules, if one doesn't, then issues will obviously arise from user abuse of the intended material sciences being implemented to provide a really decent set of pots and pans - or one can simply buy the ones designed for metal utensil abuse that circulon make if one wants to stick with stainless steel utensils. Anyway These are a perfectly fine set of pots and pans 5 stars all day long...
