You think you know Storm? You're so very wrong...
(This contains a few spoilers, so you've been warned!)This is not your typical love story. This is a LIFE story, about heartache and healing and an undying love between two flawed yet strong people.Bear with me here...As I read this series, I fully planned to skip Storm's book. I suspect many readers are the same. I read romance for the love story and the happily-ever after, not the ongoing agony of toxic relationships. Cheating is a hard no for me in stories (as it is for many) and every time Storm's character was depicted in the previous books, my dislike of him grew. I wasn't all that impressed with mentions of Keira in those books either. Quite honestly, her acceptance of Storm's treatment of her over the years hit a little too close to home for comfort. But, there was a scene in one of the earlier books, which made me curious. His devastation at Keira locking him out of the family home seemed sincere. His overwhelming feelings of guilt at his betrayal of her seemed heartfelt, yet he didn't seem to stop doing it. So, what the h*ll was going on with him??? I decided I would read at least of bit of Storm's book to find out. I assumed I would skip over the super angsty parts in deference to my triggers. I did not. I read every word. Many through the blur of tears, but I read them nonetheless. We are immediately introduced to Asher, the man Keira first met and fell in love with while in high school. Asher was a bit of a bad boy biker, but protective, patient, and who above all, loved Keira fiercely. The fact that Asher was also Storm, troubled jacka$$ and future serial cheater, was hard to reconcile. We also learn that Keira went from sheltered high school student to sheltered mother/wife, without any time to become strong, independent Keira. This book uses flashbacks, many in the form of letters and diary entries, to flesh out the story of how they began and how their love and circumstances came to be. For those who don't like flashbacks, and hate timelines jumping back and forth, trust me when I say it was necessary in this story. I don't think their current levels of hurt, hopelessness and anger would have been as impactful if the story had been written straight from beginning to end. This book picks up with present-day Storm and Keira, separated, but trying to build a civil foundation for their daughter moving forward. It is still very much a 3-way relationship. No, not another woman. This involves Storm, Keira and Storm's addictions. They are in counseling with their daughter, Storm is working a 12-step program and keeping his pants zipped, and Keira is learning to value herself and is even starting to date again. Storm's devotion to Keira and his determination to become a better man was strong, even believing Keira would never forgive him. His multiple addictions and self-destructive urges are demons which readers (and Keira) learn he has been fighting literally since his birth. Keira's upbringing explains so much of why she put up with Storm's behavior for 11 years before throwing him out. While I wanted to smack both of them upside the head at times for being so selfish and clueless (seriously people, just TALK to each other!), I was so happy for both of them for understanding and supporting each other as they worked to find their new normal, and to better themselves along the way. The final chapters give us glimpses of future Storm and Keira growing stronger together every year. If you read to the very final epilogue (which comes with it's own trigger warning by the author), you will have followed them through 50+ years of loving each other. Have tissues handy. Many, many tissues. In Japanese culture, there is a practice of repairing broken pottery and then highlighting the cracks with gold, with the idea being that the crack and the repair illustrate and beautify the history of the piece and should be reason to celebrate. This book is the gold in the cracks of Storm's and Keira's love.

No it’s not healthy to love something to the point of obsession that if you lose it , it destroys you completely. It’s why we work hard not to lose our love.Yet outside forces can rip holes that you can’t brace for . Repairing those holes take true grit & self sacrifice at times . Most people grieve and move on .Others are not that lucky . When you love someone and you have the chance to rekindle & restore that relationship it’s always the best path. Forgiveness & Understanding are true signs of Compassion. When you love someone you have to be willing to listen & get to the root of an issue. Otherwise why be together if someone is so easily replaced.Keira & Storm Lord Have MercyTheir self awareness & the power of love for their child gives them the tools needed to repair an epic love.Tools they put to use fast . The determination on Storm’s part . The awakening by Keira of her side of the coin is heartbreaking. When you come face to face that all actions and no action .Help or Hurt a relationship.Having the ostrich syndrome in a Marriage is most definitely not the answer. She’s younger than him & alone , not wanting to rock the boat . It didn’t make her behave like her parents it just made her human.Storm should have known by her choosing Him all along he should & could have been honest with her . Should have let her hold him & stand strong against her parents & the club’s influence, well those working and taking advantage of Storm. Like the Evil Satan Witch. She & They knew when he did what he did he wasn’t himself .His love ❤️ for Keira was stunning.Him trying to keep two parts of his life from touching was the ultimate destruction. The words of others in his life making him feel inferior even as a strong biker . Shows what mental abuse can do to even the strongest of people. You have to love the adults that take in children and love them in their time of need .Bear & ReneKeira & StormThe love they give to a lost child is HEARTWARMING.I won’t tell spoilers because you should read the book 📕. Lol .But this book has all the FEELS & MORESO TISSUE WARNING ⚠️ LOL TEARS WILL APPEAR .Note 📝 I would say a unique conceptbut many folks in real life deal with addiction& horrendous hardships. So it’s not the concept but the spellbinding path of two souls destined to be together. ( Unique Story ) And the tragic path it can take when people forget to communicate & rely on the very person they attached themselves too . I’ve always said pedestals are a bad thought process . No one ever needs to be put on one . Because the person on said pedestal once they know , they will disappoint at some point it’s a crushing weight . Not fair.COMMUNICATE 101 it’s why you are together !!~Bibliophile Susan#Booksugargetkissed 💋 📕

Second Chance Romance
This book was a redemption story, and one I wasn’t sure would work. All we’ve known of Storm to this point is his drug use and his sleeping around. It didn’t paint him in a favorable light. However we learn that he and Keira never really communicated, and Storm kept a lot of things from her. Their marriage really was doomed until they truly opened up to each other. As much as it tore at them to be split up I think it was necessary for them. They both needed to grow in their own ways. Kiera had to learn to stand up for herself, and insist that Storm tell her about his life. I liked that Kiera didn’t take Storm back right away and needed a lot of evidence that he had changed before she did so. Storm also needed to learn to be open with Kiera and tell her things, the bad stuff included. This book is part of the Filthy/Sinners universe but doesn’t touch on the plot line of the New World Sparrows. It’s a book with its own story, which I really liked. I loved that we get glimpses of what is going on with the West Orange chapter of the Sinners, and how that brings up more questions. The final epilogue really packs a punch, which is all I’ll say. Storm and Kiera were truly it for one another. No third act breakupSecond chance romance4/5 on the Spicy ScaleM/FViolenceTalk of child SAMotorcycle Club
