Good when used effectively
Would ideally rate it 4/5, but considering that we have few 'dependable' gaming mouse options and Asus has stepped in with a sturdy technical build I'm putting it at 5. Aside from the usual plus points shared with similar mice, few things I've noticed: Pros - Perhaps only mouse that I've used so far that work almost equally well on hard and cloth pads. It doesn't drag heavy on soft pads yet still has a sense of 'stickiness' for flicks. It also doesn't slip/scatter your aim on hard pads. - Bit heavy, but its a plus as the movements are smooth and actions feel more .. controlled. - 8khz polling. I turned this on only after a recent pc upgrade. On my earlier (quite old i7) machine the cpu couldn't handle it and caused fps drops. Have 0 such drops now, make sure to have a newish multicore cpu. - Extremely well build and polished well, no rubber surface that might peel off later. Cons - Everyone talks of it, and Armory Crate is.. famous. From now on I'll keep it on a backup laptop to customize settings which get saved to the mouse onboard memory anyway. - that teeny joystick by the thumb might be a + for some, I haven't found ways to apply it effectively. I removed it and had the shielded cap plugged in place. But AC still installs a 'virtual' mouse and keyboard on my pc, least one of which is because of the joystick I suspect. These don't cause any issues as such, but I don't have a preference for it. - No dpi switch button near mouse wheel, but I remapped the the wheel click for it. Neutral - 32k sensor. Might be useful for multi monitor setups I guess. I tried it for a bit, applying appropriate fractions to mouse sensitivity in Overwatch, but it felt similar to lower dpi and higher sens. Not knocking on this sensor in particular, have seen similar for other high dpi mice too - SteelSeries, Logitech, etc. If it lasts long enough without performance issues, I can see this one as a favorite.

Best mouse money can buy and its NOT THAT HEAVY AS PEOPLE STATE.
I know people are like “this mouse is sooo heavy” its just the nerds. Who wanna complain about things. This mouse is overall the best mouse i have EVER had. Totally worth the upgrade from ROG Gladius 2 ive been rocking for years lol. This has programmable buttons. Responsive clicks. You can even replace them clicky mechanical keys very easily. And the mouse has a great surface too. If you have a good quality mouse pad. I dont think you would have any issue sliding the mouse around. Oh the battery. I literally TRIED HARD TO DRAIN IT. Played COD for like 14 hours straight. And then next day did some heavy gaming. Took me 3 DAYS to totally bring it to 20% 🙏. such an amazing mouse. Love it tho. Rgbs are also amazing. Different modes love it

Great mouse. Customizable, good feel, good battery life.
This mouse has great connectivity and a long battery. I recharge it once a week with daily usage (2-3 hours per day). It has a perfect weight for me. It feels sturdy and has been very accurate in games. The customization of the lights and buttons are amazing. I can setup profiles for different games. Everything is adjustable, even scrolling speed. I highly suggest it as a long time gamer.

Perfect for Large Hands — Premium Quality Gaming Mouse
I really like this mouse. The size and shape are perfect for my large hands, and it feels very comfortable during long gaming or work sessions. The build quality is excellent and the mouse feels like a true professional device. The only thing to note is that the adjustable buttons on the left side are a bit hard to reach at first — they don’t align perfectly with my fingers. But after getting used to the grip, it becomes much easier and very functional. Overall, it’s a high-end, responsive, and powerful mouse. I enjoyed using it and I’m very satisfied with the performance.

Just Not Enough For An MMO Mouse
Wanted to love this mouse so badly! I went back and forth on returning it for days because I love the charging dock, the response time, the price, the quality, battery life, and the large size of this mouse. It is extremely comfortable, but I have a few complaints that resulted in its return: - Not enough buttons. Most MMO mice have up to 12 programmable buttons as most MMO's have an action bar of that size. You'll find a few that have less like ESO though. Most MMO mice have a grid pattern for their side buttons whereas this one is asymmetrical with buttons located in other places which is great if you want that. Unfortunately the Corsair Darkstar MMO Mouse also has this but more buttons to work with which is what I needed. I sadly ended up going with that mouse as I needed more function over form. - Side buttons are super low quality. The buttons move around when you push them and they have a cheap, unsatisfying click to them. I could probably look past this if the mouse had enough buttons but can't in this case and is worth mentioning. - Although very minor, this mouse is only 1000Hz versus the 2000-8000Hz that competitors offer. In the grand scheme of things, that's not going to be very noticable and would take a hit on the battery. Overall this wouldn't have swayed my decision on keeping the mouse like the two former issues but also worth mentioning for those that might want to know.

You get what you pay for
EDITED REVIEW: All the below text still holds true, but unfortunately I will have to update this from a 5-star to a 1-star because this mouse regularly loses connectivity to the base station. Regularly a couple times per day. Absolutely horrendous to have this happen while playing essentially any video game. Very unfortunate, as I otherwise love this mouse. The base station is like 6 inches away from the mouse and it just randomly loses connectivity for about five seconds. I've never had this happen with any other piece of wireless equipment. Some other reviewers say they've ran into the same issue. It is a regular thing, every day it happens. I didn't notice it at first because I wasn't gaming much (other obligations). But for the past week I've been gaming quite a lot and have grown to hate this mouse just because of this one glaring issue. Absolutely awful, this one factor nullifies all the great things about this mouse and makes it totally useless for gaming, unless you're willing to use a wired connection...but there's no reason to pay this much for a wired mouse. I've been a PC gamer for over 20 years. This is the best mouse I've ever used, but it's not suitable for every application. Strictly speaking I would say using this mouse is not suitable for FPS or other high speed games, you'll definitely want to go with something lighter. But for every other genre, this mouse is amazing, especially MMOs. Other mice in this style overdo it I think - too many buttons, for example. Putting 12 side buttons on a mouse makes those buttons really small. I always wanted a mouse like this, that had more than 3 side buttons, but not so many that the buttons themselves were tiny. I also really appreciate the way these buttons are aligned, it's very intuitive and made sense to me right away. It's a heavy mouse. Keep that in mind. The battery life also isn't that amazing, I have to recharge it every 5-7 days or so, but that's hardly a complaint. The only other real negative is the price, but honestly....you get what you pay for. Solid build quality. Highly customizable in the software, which is also easy to use (the LEDs can be very bright, so I shut most of them off). The only thing I wish ASUS would change in the software is allowing us to keybind F13-F24, or other non-existent keys, on the mouse. Basically as it works now you have to keybind to existing keys on your keyboard/mouse. I wish we had access to "dead" keys that aren't used for anything. Other than that, this thing is a tank, all the buttons including the scroll wheel feel solid, and it fills a niche I had been wanting for so long. I really hope ASUS continues making this mouse for a long time because I'm sure I'll buy another one in the far future. Shoot, I might buy another one now and just keep it boxed up in case I ever need it. That might seem excessive, but this mouse is literally the only one in its class. There is no other mouse designed like it, that I have seen, when it comes to the arrangement/size of the side buttons. It is perfect for me, and feels so comfortable. It is a game changer (pun intended). If the price doesn't deter you, and you don't play FPS, this mouse is the one. I can't recommend it enough.

Nice, worth the cost. Sturdy.
A little heavy but still easy to use. Need the app to reprogram your keys to your liking if you don’t like the defaults but after you save the profile to the mouse it doesn’t need it again. The other MMO mice were near impossible to hit those back buttons for me but this one I can hit all the keys easily. Definitely worth the purchase with the only strike against it being the lack of program for Linux if you want to reprogram it from that.

Some skill may be required!
It is a really good mouse but unfortunately I will admit I am used to multi side button mice and this one has 4 side and a 4 side joystick which honestly either fails to input when I need it to or I’m doing it wrong, nonetheless it should not make me feel like that in moments of need. I wanted to like this mouse as it felt good on my hand and fit perfectly but the joystick is ever so slightly out of reach requiring me to extend my thumb out and either causing a feeling of oh man I hope it works this time. Very easy to set up and holds charge very well, I ended with just leaving it plugged in at all times. If you are new to gaming mice I don’t recommend this one in particular as it isn’t optimal for beginners and requires a level of need for a joystick on a mouse which some people might have but not everyday starters. This one was hard for me to rate higher as 3 months later I am trying to find a new mouse with more than 5 side buttons. I will keep using this one as a spare as it was built to last with extra switches and removable parts. Pretty cool but not the best bang for the buck. Played halo, call of duty zombies/warzone, helldivers 2, marvel rivals, doom. Used key binds on the joystick for all the games and still had random input issues if the stick wasn’t pushed perfectly in the right direction. Wish it had an option for a rail like joystick that allowed it to move in a X or y axis only
