Panasonic WhisperFit Ceiling Mount Bathroom Exhaust Fan with Humidity Sensor, 50-80-110 CFM, FV-0511VFC1

Quiet and efficient. Install not bad. Just don’t overthink it.

FV-0511VFC1. Very quiet even when set at 110cfm. Humidity sensor seems to be fairly accurate. Easy to install although installation instructions and YouTube were not totally clear on wiring directions to get the full capability of of the humidity sensor and how it all worked for a remove-and-replace project. A little disappointed in Panasonic in that regard. I ended up rewiring it 3 times before it made sense and worked perfectly. Now that I have it set up correctly, it is awesome. Panasonic: Great product, but stop trying to save paper, and have an adult (Technical writer) write the installation instructions and explanation of the designer’s intent of how it works. I still give it five stars since I love the vent fan now that I got it set-up right, but disappointed in Panasonic.

It's great to have a fairly quiet, automatic fan in our guest bathroom. It was not so easy to install, because of the existing rigid duct that was not in quite the right place. But the instructions are very clear, and design is well thought out, and it looks decent. It isn't as quiet as I was hoping, but it's certainly not offensively loud. I think the install took me about 3 hours, including reading the instructions, removing the old fan, wrestling with the existing duct, and getting everything in place. I imagine a contractor with more experience would have been faster.

I grabbed two of these since I started to notice mold appearing on the ceiling. These things are whisper quiet! I had grabbed another brand of fan previously, but returned it after seeing that these had a humidity sensor built in. I haven't had an issue with any mold since! Installation was simple with a bracket that you use in-between the joists. I didn't setup the additional switch feature, but I plan on adding that soon. It's easy enough to change the fan speed and the humidity sensor settings by pulling down on the cover although I'm not sure you will need to change them much once you have it dialed into the room. Don't go cheap on your bathroom fan. It will save you so much more money in the long run to pick these up!

Runs very quietly. We were'nt sure it was working when we first had it installed. Also very efficient. Takes a fraction of the time to clear the mirror and the room. Would definitely buy this again.

I bought this to replace a Broan that sounded like a 727. This thing is quiet. Not silent, but very quiet. Quiet enough to hunt wabbits. It does a great job of removing the steam and huimidity from the bathroom.

The humidity sensor is erratic and erroneous. In auto sensing mode the fan will kick on when ambient humidity is very low (I have a RH tracker in the bathroom) . Even adjusting the dial to 80% RH threshold, still the fan will run a random length of time. Only option is to run the fan manually using a power switch to turn off power to the fan. Not able to use the auto feature I paid extra for. Frustrating.

Our exhaust fans were delivered on time and as scheduled. These fans are awesome, we’ve used them in a previous house. The condensation sensor really works. It senses shower moisture in the air, or even high humidity, and when it does, the fan kicks on to pull the moisture through the ducting and out of our house. Even our electrician that’s installing these fans mentioned that these are very good fans. Panasonic products designed in Japan are high quality.
