TRX GO Suspension Trainer, At Home, Portable Gym Workout, For Strength Training, Full Body Exercise Equipment

I went through a lot of different suspension training sets in research, comparing and gathering info. I ended up buying this TRX set for 3 reasons: 1. Name brand, with good reviews 2. The other non-name brands that were well-reviewed were sold out 3. This was the cheaper of TRX sets. This set looks sturdy and reviews were mostly very positive, and it's one that I can also take on the road if needed, so I went this direction. I was looking at a couple other sets from other brands, but the ones that I researched and found to be well made were all sold out or on backorder for a long while (thanks COVID!). This is a much more expensive set than those others, but also is the least expensive of the TRX bunch. I don't need the super duper heavy duty sets, because I'm not going to be using suspension training as my main source of working out, so I figured it's the best way to go. I purchased this mainly for stretching purposes, as I need some better ways of stretching for my back issues. Anyway, I've had it for a couple months and it is performing well and is handling everything I need it to. I'm doing my work right now with the door attachment, but eventually I'll figure out where I want to install the brackets so I can do it from better support than the door. The door attachment is holding up well so far, no signs of it breaking down, so I'm pleased with that. But long term it will be beneficial to stud mount it. Since I don't have the garage space to do it, finding a place in the house that isn't an eyesore is the name of the game. Anyway, all that to say is that it's been a piece of gear, super comfortable grips, and straps have proven sturdy and reliable. If you can afford the price tag, it's a great set!

I bought my TRX at the start of 2020 not knowing it would be so important 😳 4 years later, it's as good as it was the day I bought it after traveling with me across the Americas, getting used with a (solid) door, on a patio, playground, park, trees in the forest, at the beach, on a farm. Literally everywhere. Thanks to Andrea Toth's amazing (and free) TRX workouts from 5-60m on YouTube, I continue to have fun, varied full-body and body part focused exercises that keep me seeing progress. And simply by changing your angle or strap length you can adjust the difficulty to keep the challenge. It fits neatly into any bag and doesn't weigh much so you can easily carry it in a backpack or run to the park with it. It's also easy to set up and take down in 1m (just make sure the anchor point can safely hold your weight.) I highly recommend this not only to have a quality home workout, but wherever you go.

Honestly, I hesitated for too long to purchase a TRX system for myself and am only upset I didn’t do it sooner. I use to use one pre-pandemic at the gym. Now with things starting to slowly open back up, I am still extremely skeptical and anxious to return to a gym. Buying the TRX has really revived my at home workouts and I’m super stoked that I can take it with me wherever the heck I want. It’s super easy to set up, take down, stow away. Very durable, sleek, and overall fantastic product. There’s also a lot of versatility with the TRX. I was having some issues with my knee a while ago and was limited in what I could do but with the TRX, you can adjust range of motion and really focus on making sure your form is perfect for specific workouts (i.e. my squats and lunges).

I used these at orange theory. Great exercise equipment. Attached a big bolt into the studs and it easily handles my weight.

The trx training bands are pretty decent for shoulder rehab. I was injured pretty badly and dislocated my shoulder. My physical therapist suggested purchasing the system. Not sure how effective they are in building the vanity muscle. The stabilizers get a killer workout. I had initial soreness pretty bad in the triceps. But in a weird portion of my triceps. I'm up to 60 lbs on press downs, but the body weight exercises are hard to measure because it's all about the angle of the leaning that you are doing and it's hard to recreate that perfectly every workout. Im sure I could make a stencil on the floor but i definitely move around alot. There's some suggested exercises that just look dumb. There's others that look like a reach for marketing. I'd say if you have an upper body injury this can be helpful if done consistently. If I bought it to work out with to get a strong body then I'd be unhappy. Guess that's what the rest of my gym is for. The product was in the cart and I wanted it. If you are a casual excerciser then this will probably just sit somewhere collecting dust and one or 2 uses. It won't give you the motivation you crave. Though I like the product, I could have gotten the same effect with using ropes for $10

The gym at home and on the road. Looks just like the one at the gym and works great! Had a little trouble finding the right place to use at home. It needs to be near hinges and on the outside of the door. Heavy duty and portable.

I recently lost a bunch of weight and my health coach recommended I get some strength training in addition to the cardio I normally get. She recommended this. I don’t know what separates this from the set that’s like $50 more expensive, but I was shocked how sore this made my arm muscles from my first workout (in a good way). I was skeptical that using a fraction of my body weight would be enough of a workout, but was pleasantly surprised when I worked up a sweat and my muscles ached for a few days afterward. It takes a bit of faith that you will not fall on your back or face when you do the severe leans, but using the door mount method hasn’t let me down yet. Like the promotional materials say, it is super portable (I am even considering taking it to work to get a workout on my lunch) and pretty easy to use. You can download an app and get a free trial to test their guided workouts, but I’ve held off on that so far while I get used to it. I’ll likely do the trial at some point when I can take better advantage of the short time period it’s free. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase.

Never tried TRX training before. Bought this on a whim and have not been disappointed. A very sturdy piece of equipment. I use it via the attachment to my garage, internal door. I weigh 92kg and have had no problems at all in it supporting my weight. The garage door seems to be OK too. There are a lot of workouts for this on the YouTube. So there’s plenty of options to explore. You are provided with an access card to a TRX website for a series of training videos, provided with the purchase. Haven’t tried these yet. The equipment is easy to pick up and is easy to learn. However start with the basics. Build up to things like the Pike. I tried it for a laugh but don’t bend in the middle very well. It didn’t end well for me. Positively it wasn’t too far to fall and it hasn’t put me off at all. Down point don’t pull too hard on the way up as meeting the anchor point, or in my case the door is possible. I was used mainly to free weights and cardio. I can confirm TRX lives up to its promises. Some of the videos can give you quite a workout in 25-35 minutes. I recommend you try these as the trainers are in general excellent at helping and guiding you what to do. That way you’ll get the most out of the TRX. If it helps you can burn up to 400 kcals in a more vigorous workouts and no less than 200. For fans of calorie counting. It really works you core as promised. You can feel it tense under the exercises. Even doing the basic stuff as a beginner like me. Overall it’s really good fun. It’s a bit like being on a swing as kid, well that’s what I think. Another top tip, learning the hard way as per usual. Best not to use every day. I got a bit carried away and ended up with brachial radial strain, after a 7 days worth of sessions. Maybe that’s an age thing. Combine it with your training and most of all have fun. Hi Cheers👍🏼
