Beautifully carved, solid box. It is a good weight in your hands, not flimsy at all. The velvet interior is soft, though it is a smidge thin, as you can see the outline carved on the box indented in it. I don't care; I love it. It would be good for Tarot or other divination cards or for jewelry or other trinkets, but I am using it as a button box. It's perfect.

I purchased this piece specifically because it was hand carved and had a Celtic pattern on it. My sister gave me a set of Celtic/Viking hair pins for Christmas (also ordered on Amazon) and I had been keeping them in a cardboard box. I wanted this beautiful box to be their permanent home. It just feels fitting.

Could be used for many things. Perfect stash box or decorative box for me. Affordable when I got it and it is made well. I've gotten a lot of use out of it.

Very nice wooden treasure box. Love the carving and the Red felt lining makes this even more special. Perfect for my use as a safe place to store my silver coins.

Color inconsistent. Top and bottom stained colors don't match; top and bottom probably made in separate batches. May decide to keep it anyway.

I bought this on a whim and am glad I did. I gave it to my husband for a Christmas gift and he loves it. He uses it to store his guitar picks. Quality of this box is excellent as well.

I had had one of these, they were popular in the 60s, hippy stash boxes. Had mine for about 35 years. just lost in in a B&E. This one is beautiful and should be here till the end of my life. Addtn: here it is about three weeks hence, and the box will not stay shut. It was fine for a week or so. Now, when it's closed, it fits down but pops open about 1/2 inch. Looked at it, and cannot see what is causing it to not close completely? Any ideas?
