I'm not sure. They say it will work by just applying less pressure to achieve a lighter shade. You may want to check out the video they have for this product on HSN for a demonstration on how to do it. It's labeled as "Presentation" and at 2:14 they start talking about 22 shades. eyebrow pencils

I was so happy to find these eyebrow pencils on Amazon. YBF your best friend was originally on a home shopping network and I ordered them to try because I was not happy with the one I was currently using. That was 15 years ago. They are a generic taupe color and can be pale for blondes or darker depending on your coloring and preference. My makeup would not be complete without them.
