Cuisinart CSO-300N1 Steam & Convection Oven, Stainless Steel

I agree with many reviewers! After purchasing this, I stopped using my old oven! I just cook for myself and bake, bake/steam, broil and so on, only in this Incredible Steam Convection Oven! It steams veggies, reheats my food, bakes a perfect 4 pound chicken, broils an excellent salmon or Flat Iron steak! It is Easy to understand and use! Easy to clean! Has a steam clean cycle. I keep mine even cleaner using a Magic Sponge to wipe it out after cooking really greasy things like the chicken or steak. I love whomever invented this product! You can even steam hardboiled egg or with practice poached eggs in a muffin tin! When I move this IS definitely coming with me!! I imagine for a small apartment, this would be the PERFECT kitchen accessory! Very Satisfied!! UPDATE: March 2019. They did finally find someone else who was making these racks and did send me a new one at no charge. So I am delighted and happy to finally have one! UPDATE: My unit started leaking bottom right corner. (I did not read the instructions about Descaling once a year, so I don't know if that was the issue.) However, i called and had to mail them my unit (I had KEPT the boxes it came in!) Cost me $46.00 UPS ground from where I live, however, they replaced it with a Brand New Unit! CUISINART ROCKS!! They are the BEST! Use this daily and also a food processor, mixer and other things! Their products are the BEST! Thank you Cuisinart!

Nice quality and works well. I use this convenient counter top oven to warm up left overs in place of my microwave. My food is piping hot within 10 minutes of the bake/steam option at 400 temp. It does a great job broiling and baking also. I love the added steam option-keeps all of my food nice and moist.

Summary: (Specifics follow below) This is a great little oven with a small amount left to be desired in my experience. I’m a single guy who doesn’t like the idea of using a microwave (yeah yeah, tinfoil hat and such) and this machine helps me steer clear. I would especially recommend this to anybody who has similar ambitions. Pros: -Steam option is great with the right application (great for leftovers!!) -Sharp looking and well-built -Easy to use -Heats evenly and quickly -Toast function is nice - but pay attention cause it’s easy to burn your toast if you leave the bread in after the buzzer -Self-cleaning with steam works quite well and how awesome is that?! -Loads of combos with steam worked into oven functions -The pan that comes with it is nice and of good quality Cons: -No standard dry oven function, only convection!! -Beep is obnoxiously loud and cannot be turned down or off because it is used for the timer alarm too -Every function is set to a timer that powers the heating element - can’t just leave things a little longer without restarting the heating sequence. Notes: -Mold could be a factor if you’re not diligent in cleaning/drying your oven after using the steam function. - Hard water could probably wreak havoc on this oven...I’d recommend using distilled or RO water

I bought this because the oven on my range died, and the replacement I set my heart on is 12 weeks away. At first I minded having to find counter space for yet another appliance, and the fact that most of my baking pans won't fit this oven. However, you really can bake or roast dishes with minimal space all round. I have made picture perfect shepherd's pie, a nicely crisped 4 1/2 lb chicken, and most surprising (to me) a crusty, beautiful loaf of bread. The steam function helps with creating a good crust on bread, for proofing dough, for reheating food (steam + broil to reheat cheese mac), and for enabling cleaning the oven with a wipe of a sponge. Leave the door cracked slightly open to let moisture out - just like you leave the door open after a shower. You can't bake multiple layers of food, you can't cook pizza for more than 2 at once, and you have to show other users how to operate the oven (not difficult but unfamiliar), and clear as much counter space as you would use for a microwave oven. This is a good looking appliance and the accessories (liner, baking tray and rack) are all good quality. I will likely continue to use this oven for baking bread, and so that our celiac son can bake gluten free foods for himself without using a full size appliance. Oh, did I mention that steam baked potatoes are pretty darned delicious too?

Bought this in June, 2019 on the recommendation of a friend. Loved it! The steam function improved my artisan breads (I don’t need the steam function for daily breads or non-artisan breads). Steaming veggies was convenient too. Roasted chicken was fabulous! I felt like extra $$$ paid was well worth it... The steam function broke in less than a year. The oven still works for Toast, Convection Bake, and Broil (without steam) only. The other 5 settings/options will make the oven beep loudly – and the steam clean option of course doesn’t work either – more loud beeping, no steam whatsoever. I no longer think it was worth the extra $$$. I cleaned the oven regularly and emptied the water chamber when not using – and it still broke. I paid for the Steam functions and cannot use them. Waste of money for me.

This is a wonderful toaster oven … No complaints it just performs!

I like everything about this oven, that is compact yet big enough to prepare enough food for 4. and programming is working perfect, and light feature is cute and very helping to take a glance of food being cooked. The option of steam cooking is precious, as I cannot get the same result in the usual big oven. So I cannot say anything cons about this oven. Highly recommend!

I bought this item at May 2nd, 2022, and today my mom told me that the steamer is liking water, and I found out the steam function is really not working anymore. Its just after 7 months. The quality is not reliable.
