I made the mistake of buying this. My son is 22 with special needs. It was made for smaller kids and not made strong.

my son loves these headphones but y'all need to make the earpieces a little bigger cuz they barely fit over my four year olds ears and you need to make sure they're more secure on there

Protecting my children's hearing is of paramount importance to me as a mother. So, after ordering the terrible twosome dual portable DVD players for our summer trip, I knew I wasn't about to let them use just any headphones and blow out their eardrums (not necessarily a "real" concern, but you know how it is when you become a parent!). But I also wanted them to be cute enough that the children would look forward to using them. I thought I had found safe, workable, adorable headphones in these. I did not.PROS:- Relatively lightweight and the perfect fit for my pre-schoolers.- DEFINITELY controlled the volume. Too well, I believe.CONS:- They are huge. Took up a fairly sizeable amount of the kids' travel backpacks.- There is NO volume control. So while we were on the airplane (with that ambient noise), neither child was actually able to hear through the headphones... even when the DVD players where at their loudest.If there was an actual volume control to accompany the noise-dampening quality - that would have been perfect. What ended up happening was both children refused to wear the headphones (because they couldn't hear anything through them), and played their DVD players at regular volume, sans headphones. Fortunately, it didn't irritate our travelling companions - but it was exactly what I had intended to avoid... by purchasing the headphones!Since the terrible twosome are pre-schoolers, there really isn't a need for them to use headphones at home (family movies on the big screen; computer time where the volume is controlled by mom; tablets for good behavior - where mom most definitely wants to hear what apps they're using...). Maybe if we take a car trip in our near future - they'll be able to use them. Preferably before they outgrow the characters they love currently!

I bought these for my grandson because he loves Thomas. They are cute. But they are useless.The first pair broke within a 2 weeks.After 2 months we have gone through 3 pair! And, my grandson is a very gentle child.I just can't recommend these. They really need to be redesigned.
