NordStick Nordic Hamstring Curl Strap - Original Nord Stick Exercise Set for Home and Travel - 5 Second Set Up

The NordStick Nordic Hamstring Curl Strap is an incredible tool for strengthening hamstrings. Oh, but for a word of caution. I’m 74, and lead an active life in the Northwoods of Minnesota, and have always been aware of the imbalance between the quadriceps and Hamstrings. My cabin is a MacGyver labyrinth of exercise devices, and this hamstring curl strap is the cat’s meow. Unless your hamstrings are strong and supple, I would very strongly advise the use of a support like a balance ball to lower and raise yourself to the start position. As Arnold Schwarzenegger said repetitively in the short edition of Education of a Body Builder, concentrate on the muscle group upon which you are working. A balance ball will enable you to do so as you lower and then raise yourself. You will be in total connection with your hamstrings from the higher to lower portions and everything in between, with little to no fear of pulling or tearing your hamstrings. As you become more comfortable with this device, it’s easy to adjust how much or little you require the balance ball.I’ve also begun using The hamstring curl strap for reverse crunches. An added benefit is stretching one’s pecs, which will help loosen shoulder tightness, as you go through the reverse crunch. This is a fantastic fitness tool!

I love this! Some people have said that it's wobbly, but I haven't experienced that at all. Maybe they are not adjusting it to be tight enough. I do Nordic curls with this attached to the bottom of the door and a band at the top. It's perfect. Then I do reverse Nordics with the band. A great leg workout with minimal equipment.

The media could not be loaded. 7/5.2025 : This review is for the new PRO 3.0. It has a metal cylinder inside the anchor and possibly other improvements. I got this because I wanted to do Nordic curls without a huge device. If you get one door anchor for Nordic curls, this is the best I have found. The materials seem very good, and it does seem like it will hold up well over time, although I wish the plug was a bit more confidence inspiring, and I wish the strap was a more heavy duty material. Don’t get me wrong, the material feels plenty good to do the job, but I just want peace of mind that nothing will tear, and am willing to spend a little more for it. However, that is likely a moot point. It does work on the door, just make sure you are on the side of the door where the door frame is (the door should not open into the room you are doing the curls in), otherwise you might destroy your door frame and hinges. But, even then, my door, which is hollow, was warping under my feet quite a lot, to the point that I needed to curl my toes and focus on not snapping the door. That makes it much harder to do the curls, not to mention that I don’t want to break my door. I am 5’10” and 210lbs. My gf is shorter and 120lbs, and even she felt a worrying amount of warping on the door. So, the device itself is a great idea if you have very strong doors. But I will have to find another solution, likely I will try to get a versatile workout bench and use a Nordic strap. The downside of this nordstick is that, without a backplate, it isn’t very useful. I’m undecided if I will keep it or return it. I hope the review helps. I tried to record what the materials are like. If you want to try a door anchor, I definitely recommend trying this one over any others that I have seen.

If you can see the picture, you know exactly what this strap does and what it doesn't do. If you don't have a really robust door to wedge this under (or you're afraid of pulling against the frame), you can wedge it under any very heavy thing. I have it tied around the leg of my couch, for example.The foam is very high-density and comfortable. The strap is adjustable, so I can't really imagine a setup for which this product *won't* work. If you're into nordic curls, this will work for you!

The product I received is not the product pictured. It came in a plastic bag, no directions for use. It appears to be of better quality than the one pictured but there are other cheaper options just like it that come with directions, a mat and in a box. If you have small feet the straps do not shorten enough.

I haven’t used the Nordstick too much yet, but so far, it does exactly what it’s supposed to for hamstring training. If you don’t want to spend $400+ on a bigger setup, this is a solid alternative. It allows you to progress at your own pace with Nordics while still getting the same (or even better) results. At the end of the day, the goal is to get flat to the floor, and this helps you work toward that. Definitely worth trying—great piece of equipment!

Specifically bought the more expensive one from the name brand in order to get the stronger/wider door stopper component. They sent me a small one that I don't even see listed? Not what I ordered.However, upon using it I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of this product and goes without saying that the smaller circular door stopper component will do just fine. It is reinforced with steel.You get what you pay for and I believe that it's worth getting the nordstick name brand
