Amazing shampoo, lathers well and fast and smells great! I wasn't sure when I ordered it but when I first used it, I was impressed! Leaves Scalp feeling fresh and hair looking great. It's wonderful. This is one of the few shampoo bars that truly has largely natural ingredients which is why I bought it in the first place. I spent hours combing the internet for the perfect natural bar, only to come close and have the bar fall short cause of something like limonene. This one had no questionable ingredients (minus perhaps the Sodium Cocoyl Sulfate...), so if you're interested in switching to a low-poo hair care routine, I would recommend this one. It's a bit pricier than others on the market but for me it was worth it. Lathers really well and has a very mild, pleasant and totally natural smell. Leaves my hair super clean and super soft (on account of the fermented rice water, which is good for skin as well, so I sometimes also use it to wash my face). First wash cleared up my dandruff (subsequent washes weren't as effective for dandruff, interestingly, but it's still a fantastic product). Comes in very cute packaging and lasts a while, given that the bar itself is actually quite sizeable.

I bought this due to scalp irritation from supermarket products. After a couple of uses I noticed I wasn’t reacting badly to it. The irritation/itchiness had gone and I feel this should be what everyone uses as supermarket products are packed with horrible unhealthy substances. A little goes a long way and it lathers amazingly, it has lasted a long time I believe it’s been a month already and it’s reduced 3/4 in size. Avoid over washing or using too much of it as you may then notice your hair drying out. I try keep washing my hair to every two days and not everyday as it causes dryness. I personally don't use very much because I’m a man with short hair, woman with longer hair will use more than me although if you wet it and just run it up and down your wet hair for a few seconds it should be enough to create an instant lather. I’ll definitely be buying this again and won’t go back to supermarket shampoo or even the ‘more natural ones’ this one is it for me. The only drawback is conditioning capability, after some time my hair dried out but maybe it was because I washed it too often so I used a tiny bit of conditioner and a week later of washing hair every 2 days I have no issues.

Have been using this for over a year. I was looking for solid shampoo product and liked that it was a substantial size and is packaged entirely plastic free. The product leaves my hair clean and soft and doesnt have it rough or fel stripped like a lot of other solid shampoo unless conditioner is applied. I have ear length short hair that's very fine but lots of it. It works for me and my scalp feels great too. Regular customer for sure.

I have been persisting with this for a few weeks as I wanted to give it a proper chance and I want to reduce how much single-use plastic I buy. It is easy to use and lathers really nicely. I've used anti-dandruff shampoo and conditioner for years and there is so far no sign of it returning. I have found though that it takes a lot of rinsing or my hair feels weird afterwards. My hair squeaks after washing too as all the natural oils have been effectively stripped from my scalp and hair. The result is very dry, coarse hair. I have long hair so this isn't great and I have begun to use a leave-in conditioner or my usual one - which kind of defeats the purpose. I do think it will be useful to use it a few times before dying my hair though, so I'll see if it makes a difference to how well my hair dye takes. In summary - it definitely cleans your hair, possibly too well! Conditioner is still needed, certainly for longer hair.

I have 3c curly hair, so I usually settle with co-washing my hair. this has always worked well for me until recently, when I started to feel like my scalp was really dirty with lots of product build up and itching on it. I have shampoo for curly hair at hand, but decided to give this a go out of curiosity. I was a little hessitant to use it because I thought 1. it would stink of rice water 2. tangle my curls even more as i'd have to really scrub on my scalp with the bar to produce a lather 3. that my scalp really wouldnt feel clean afterwards WELL!! This bar completley proved me WRONG!! 1. It doesnt have any scent at all 2. it creates a phenomenal amount of lather on your scalp as soon as it touches water! a couple of strokes on my scalp is all it takes, then I can massage my scalp with my fingers and rub it all over like normal shampoo. 3. it leaves my hair feeling 'squeeky clean' literally, like its just been shampood 4 times! leaves my scalp feeling cleaner than any other shampoo that ive ever useed in my life! you will defo need to use a conditioner afterwards, if you have curly hair like me. 4. a little goes a LONG way, ive used this three times now, and it doesnt even look like its been touched! this will last a VERY long time! 5. it leaves my hair feeling SUPER SOFT after every wash 6.the sustainable packaging it comes in is really lovely 7. I actually look forward to wash days now :) I couldnt recommend this bar enough! if you are hesitating because of the price, please just BUY!! It will be worth it in the end!! ps: I actually havent been paid to write this review, as much as it may sound, I just geniunly love this shampoo bar lol

First time trying solid shampoo. Reasonable price for the size. Was experiencing bad hair loss and trying to find other options. After 2-3 months of use, I can say that it really helps. When I switch back to previous shampoo, hair loss starts again. Back to this, and hair loss reduces again. Also helped with Bf’s dandruff problems despite his short hair. Not too strong smelling. Does have a “squeaky” clean feel that took some getting used to. Use conditioners occasionally and it’s not too dry on its own. Would recommend to try it if you’re looking for a clean and simple option that’s affordable and lasts. Bought around $26 SGD

I was losing my hair first from the after effects of birthing a child, and then from extreme stress. The texture of my hair even changed from straight / wavy to very curly. My hair started to come out excessively and started receding and also thinned at the temples. After using this for about 2 weeks, the hair loss has almost stopped completely. Now it’s just a minimal amount of strands that come out when I brush my hair or wash it. I also have noticed where I had hair loss, I can actually see hairs growing again! They’re about an inch long and stick straight up in those spots 😂 awkward stage for sure but I’m grateful for it. I also noticed any split ends I once had are now gone. There’s no build up on the scalp after use either. The only negative I had was I wish they wouldn’t market this as a 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner. It does not condition, but then again 2 in 1 shampoos rarely do. I ended up getting a deep conditioner bar from another company to use after use of this rice bar and the two work very well together. With that said, even knowing it doesn’t function as a conditioner, I can say it doesn’t matter to me. The fact that it’s a quality shampoo and helps with hair regrowth, strengthening, and repair is enough. Plus this bar is huge (3-4x larger when compared to other eco friendly options). It lathers so nicely, and feels very foamy and creamy. There are no bad scents either. I was concerned when I saw it was fermented rice, but it really has no smell. I cannot recommend this product more! Go get it; especially if your hair is falling out or damaged. Give a week or so to see the results. (I wash my hair every 1-2 days, so if you don’t use the product as frequently I’d give it more time). Also, the fact that it’s eco friendly. No plastic. Everything is biodegradable. That’s such a plus! No guilt in consuming this product, and you’re getting your moneys worth by this concentrated method, not paying for the added water in the liquid soaps. Thank you for that!

This shampoo bar lathers really well and makes my hair feel so clean! I used the 2-in-1 without additional conditioner simply using a hair oil on my damp ends. After blowing my hair is super soft and smells really good!

Super cute packaging that I didn't want to use it, hahahah. So far it's been good. smells like raw rice so don't expect it to smell like roses. FYI. It doesn't bother me. Smell goes away after washing it off. Good quality so far and hair hasn't been dry yet. But it's only been one week so I'll update if it damages my hair. I like the American rice shampoo soap so we'll see if this one is better or same as or worse. Wish it came w/a conditioner bar separately but this will do for now. I might use the American rice conditioner soap while using this too.. Update, so I only used the product alone with nothing else and it does leave it a little rough and hard to comb it but I used hair oil or else my wavy hair would of struggle and been painful. I do recommend Kitsch Rice Water Hair Conditioner Bar. If they produce a similar one with this brand it would be perfect! I didn't lose hair while washing with it that I noticed so far. =). I think it's good. Idk about hair growth, it didn't do much for me VS the kitsch bar shampoo.

Hair background: I have thick, wavy, above shoulder length hair. It tends to frizz even when very healthy, but the length has been lightened/bleached about 3-6 months back and as a result frizzes easier/tends to be dry. I typically air dry my hair, and rarely use heat products. My hair does not get greasy quickly/easily and as such I tend to wash it only twice a week or less if I have nowhere to be. I used this for the first time today and overall I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve been wanting to try a bar shampoo for awhile, but wasn’t sure how well I’d like the experience of it or how it would leave my hair feeling after use, as I’ve been burned by overhyped hair products before. I found this item on sale for Cyber Monday and decided now was the time to try it. I started by delicately parting my hair after it was completely wet and rubbing the bar directly on the part/scalp, this left a good amount of product behind that I slowly worked into my hair by massaging. I could have stopped here, as I didn’t NEED more product after applying this way, but I wanted to see how well it would lather if needed. Simply rubbing the bar between my hands a bit quickly and easily worked up a good lather, so if that is important to you, you don’t have to lose that with this bar. I didn’t need a separate item such as a pouch or cloth accessory to create a lather. I definitely felt this cleaned my hair well and provided the same experience as normal liquid shampoo from a bottle. I will say I was skeptical that this bar would work as a conditioner as well as a shampoo, and right now I remain skeptical. Though my hair felt nice after I rinsed the product out, as my hair air dried the length definitely felt drier than it typically does when I use my standard conditioner. I needed to apply more leave in conditioner product and oil to the lengths than I would normally apply after a wash to make up for it. Overall: I like this as a shampoo and have every intention of continuing to use it, but I don’t think it’s a great substitute for conditioner. It might be my color treated hair ultimately causing the issue, but it left my ends feeling much to dry for my liking, and thus I can’t say it’s a great 2-in-1. This review is after only one use, so of course things could change. If my opinion changes after continued use, I’ll be sure to update my review.
