EVEN WITHOUT DIRECT SUNLIGHT I AM GETTING DECENT VOLTAGE
this panel puts out some great voltage. I had a slight issue with my controller.i temporarily used a spare charge controller I had laying around and I am charging my 12v battery in no time at all. This solar panel comes with many plug options you may need to connect your power source.Customer service immediately responded back to me and no questions other than assuring it was plugged in correctly. And within 48 hours I had a new controller delivered. This solar panel is all I need to keep my batteries fully charged when I need them. No more plugging in to the costly grid

Worth the investment
I needed something to keep the portable generator battery that runs my home during power outage fully charged. I leave the power on and plugged in because it has remote start. This way during the cold winter and snowy nights I can start this from inside and trust the battery is fully charged.I have the control unit under a roof so it stays dry. The solar is on that roof and I will end up having it off the roof soon so the snow does not over power it.This works really well and after year it is holding up and doing exactly what it is suppose to do. It is just enough wattage and you could use the USB for small charges but I have not used that yet.

Worked for 10-12 weeks
Update 7/26/24 - Sunsul customer service reached out to me after I wrote my review. They ended up sending me a new solar panel and regulator, received it a few days ago. Appreciate them standing behind their product! Have not used it yet but bumping their rating up to 4 simply because of their customer service. Original review - Worked fine for about 10-12 weeks then I noticed that the lights on the regulator were no longer working and it was no longer charging my battery. A few days later I noticed that the wires from the panel to the regulator were melted. Since it was past the 30 day return window I reached out to the company on the email that was included with the instructions but never received a reply from the company.Don't waste your money on this one, I am sure there are better options on Amazon.

Finely have solar
I have been toying with the idea of putting a solar panel on my toy hauler trailer for a couple of years. Checked this one out and decided to get it. Reviews were good and it was definitely cheap enough. Easy to install the panel, very nice mounting system. Figuring out a place for the controller, and how to run the wires, was a bit of a challenge. Needed more wire to get to the batteries, not very much in this kit. Works great though. Bit of a learning curve to figure out the controller, but very happy with it, and know more dead batteries. It is kind of interesting that the controller has to be hooked to the batteries to work. No battery hooked up, no display on the controller.

less than advertised value
I have 28 of this panels at 160 watts per panel. In theory with a 5.4 sun hour day theses panels should output 24kw. i have never seen any kilowatt reading above 19kw. in addition, theses solar panels sell for $160, however most solar retailers sell 400-watt solar panels for about $140. this panel is excessively overpriced, and it does not out put the power it claims. it just seems like everything i buy from amazon just has the same story.Power output:19kw/24kw on full sunny day without shaddingBuild quality:good

Does the job
I have to park my big GMC van for extended periods of time. Often when I go to start it the battery is pretty weak. I got this solar trickle charger to keep the battery fresh. The van isn't parked near a power outlet. So a plug in charger wasn't going to work for me. It's been several days now and the battery is doing just fine now.

Seems to work, high pitched noise tho
In my short time with the product it seemed to work well for charging the battery and supplying power from it - however - whenever the charge controller was so much as hooked up to the battery, it emitted an significantly loud, very very high pitched sound. When charging or at any substantial discharge current, it got even louder. This was over 10khz, so not everyone can even hear that - but it was loud enough to exacerbate tinnitus. I suspect the sound was even louder at ultrasonic or near-ultrasonic frequencies. These kinds of sounds are usually caused by "coil while" of the inductors resonating at the switching frequency of a buck or boost converter, the most common way of changing DC voltage. High quality chargers will mitigate this either through physical design or intentionally-ultrasonic switching frequencies. The sound, to me, was troublesome enough that it rendered the product effectively useless for an outdoor solar lighting project, as I could barely stand to be outside when this thing was plugged in.It may be perfectly fine for you if you can't hear high frequencies, or you're installing in an unoccupied space.I'll note that the solar panel seemed to be able to apply some level of battery charge even when not in direct sunlight, which I found impressive. My sole issue was the audible noise.
