Large quantity for a great price! The smell is so powerful and wonderful! I would say like 75-80% of them were whole and the rest were broken to some degree. Great addition to our stovetop simmer pot!

these star anise are such good quality, i have bought from this company quite a few times. I use them in my homemade mulling spice, because all the ones i have tried to buy smell like there is toxic stuff in it. The quantity i get for the price is great. the star anise is always whole, and not in broken pieces.

I used these for my holiday simmer posts that I give out to friends and family. I would recommend this product and I will purchase it again in the future. The only negative about this product was that several of the stars were broken. Which is understandable in shipping. So if you are wanting the entire package to be whole stars, you wont get that. I didn't mind the broken ones because they were going into a pot of water to simmer. The quality and smell were great, they were very strong and sturdy.

I ordered this product to make star anise wreaths with friends on Christmas Eve. When the package arrived, more than half the star anise were broken into tiny pieces and the inside of the package was very dusty from debris. There weren't enough whole star anise in the bag to make our three small wreaths, and this product is ineligible for return or replacement. Such a disappointment.
