Build & create a spaceship as fast as you can and hope it works. Crossed fingers!
If you want a challenging but fun game try this one. Like any board game, knowing your game tiles/pieces is a plus. This game is no different as you have to understand the concept and implement your strategy on the fly bc you are under time constraints.Creating your spaceship is half the fun. Looking at what you created at the end and tallying points is the other half. Each playthough can be different. There is a learning curve as with any board game but its not difficult. Repetition is the key and each time it get easier and your strategy will change with each playthrough. This game is perfect for teens and adults.Smaller children may have a hard time understanding the use of the tiles and how they attach to each other to build the ship.

Excellent New Edition Of One Of My Favorite Games!
I've loved this game for years, but never owned a copy, so I'm super happy to finally have it. After having opened the box and gone through the contents, I do have some nitpicks, but let me first list the things I like:THE GOOD1. The new art looks great! The tiles really pop, as do the cards and everything else with artwork on it. While this is of course subjective, and I'm sure some people will prefer the old art, I personally consider this an upgrade.2. The cubes and aliens and spacemen, etc, either look the same as the old version (the battery beans, for example) or better (as with the art, this is subjective, and you may disagree). I particularly like the new cargo cubes, which are now a semi-translucent plastic rather than wood. All of the differences are on the subtle side, though. No major changes.3. I love that the ship boards are fold-out so you don't have to sift through multiple boards in the box at the setup to get everyone their 3 ships. You can just hand everyone a single board and they've got all 3 ships in front of them.4. I'm always a bit worried when popping out cardboard pieces that I'll tear something due to a perforation not being manufactured well or something, but these all popped out super easy and cleanly. Probably the best experience I've ever had with this kind of thing. Not a single torn tile.5. The rule booklet looks very well written and laid out, with useful pictures to help someone learn the game. And the section for guiding someone through learning the game seems well done, though it is probably better to get the opinion of an actual new player on that than someone who has played the game a lot like myself. But it does look useful.THE NITPICKS1. The ziplock bags the game comes with to put everything in are incredibly flimsy. I almost ripped the largest bag while trying to open it because the zip was quite strong compared to the durability of the plastic baggie itself. It's possible I just got a bad batch of bags, so ymmv, but you might want to have some spare baggies handy (or some other storage option) when you get yours in case you do rip one. I went ahead and got some boxes of various sizes to put things in so that I didn't have to worry about it in the future. Regardless, this isn't a big enough deal to deduct any stars because ziplock baggies are super cheap, and most of us will probably have some in the house already anyway. A minor annoyance, but not truly a problem.2. This is more of a carry-over nitpick from the previous edition of the game, but I still do not like the shape of the money tiles in this game. They're just awkward, and always have been. They look nice, but that's about as far as I can say anything positive about them. Well, that and they're better than if it was paper money. That would truly be awful. Anyway, I will continue to use poker chips in their place, and will put forth the suggestion to the designers that if they ever make a 3rd edition of the game, consider using round tiles instead. They certainly wouldn't need to be as large as poker chips, but something about the same size as the ship tiles (but round) would probably be ideal. They'd be so much easier to handle.I think that about sums it all up. Mostly positives, but just a couple nitpicks. I can't wait for the expansions to get a 2nd edition release!

We love this game!
Lots of pieces and looks hard to play, but totally worth learning the rules and it's very easy to pick up quickly. Putting together your space ship is so fun, and then going through the different challenges together provides lots of laughs. Highly recommend!

Fantastic update to a wonderful classic
CGE did a fantastic job with this updated edition of Galaxy Trucker. They have tuned the game in subtle ways to make it even more accessible to new players.Galaxy Trucker has been in my Top 3 board games for the past decade (at least), and I have bought every previous expansion, video game, and even the novel. I'm a big fan of the franchise, and this update takes an already great game and smooths out a few rough points and puts it all into a slightly more-compact (and MUCH more portable) form factor. I appreciate the art updates and subtle gameplay tweaks -- they are all tasteful and very well done. It's great -- highly recommend it!

One of my favorites!
I played the first edition a long time ago and finally decided to buy the 2nd edition after shopping around. Overall a pretty easy game to learn and very fun to play with a group of 3 or 4. My wife was able to pick it up the rules after a couple of times and have a fun time even though she's not very experienced with board games. I love how hectic the building phase of the game can be as well as how hilarious it is for the ships to be randomly blown apart piece by piece. Highly recommend if you like hectic/scrambly games.

Great Speed Game
This game has a lot of rules to learn at first but is very fun once you understand the game! It is also a speed game, so if you don’t like speed thinking games, this isn’t for you!

Kids love it!
Very fun game. The kids really enjoy it. Recommend age 8+. Game starts out like hungry hippo free for all grabbing parts to build your ships. Once built the next phase of the game requires using your ships to deliver supplies throughout space in the face of adversity. Some press your luck elements. CGE makes great games and this I'd just one more of em.

One of my favorite games. Did you know it's about SPACE? :D
I used to play this with my friends before I moved, so I got it myself. It's a great game, very fun at parties. For the longest time they thought that once the timer's up everyone has to stop, but only the first person who decides their ship is finished is allowed to flip it into the last spot.
