This book is for those who aspire to write ISTQB Test Analyst and Technical Test Analyst certification. A sample system is described and throughout the book every concept is explained with regard to the same sample system making it easy for anyone to understand it. The quality of the book is really good and its worth every penny.

Met my expectations..

Provides a good grounding for the ISTQB Test Analyst and Technical Test Analyst syllabus, and also provides a good review of testing techniques and how to apply then in general. I also used this book to prepare for the ISTQB exams, and diligently performed all the exercises given at the end of each chapter of the book. The book's exercise questions are far too easy in comparison to the ISTQB exam questions. Let's say my stellar performance in passing all the exercises in the book was not carried through into my less than stellar ISTQB exam results. I would say this is a good book to learn about advanced testing in general, but is not sufficient as an ISTQB exam primer. For the ISTQB exams, I suggest you back up what you learn in this book by learning a lot more about exam technique.
