This is Epic in all it's glory and epic wizard voices. Great party game!
This is great for the right type of folks (anyone with a sense of humor). The art is amazing and the spell names are laugh-inducing even late in the game, after some repeats. From the start, you have to encourage everyone that they *must* read the full spell names and treasure card names too; it adds a lot to the proceedings. If your gamers are up for a somewhat silly (but still very strategic) card game, it should be perfect. I'd be interested in an expansion too.Definitely worth the money. Buy this game and play it soon.Games with six really can drag on a lot. And there is a lot of down time when anyone starts getting AP (or when you die and are waiting on the next match). Thinking of this more as a filler is perfect. Just play till one person defeats the others. Still quick to get to the table and quick to pack up. Great game for our group.

Ridiculous game! Perfect for game night!
This game is hilarious. From the spells to the characters to screwing your foes over. I have played three different versions of this game and each one are unique in the game play and how to screw does over, but the base rules are the same. With that said this one is the wildest and raunchiest version I've played and that makes for a great game night. Everyone needs a copy of this in the game collection! And be careful of the harpies!!!

Great quality with some unusual changes
As with the other Epic Spell Wars expansions, this installment continues to push the limits of propriety and decency off a cliff. Panic at the Pleasure Palace introduces a new mechanic around the idea of magically transmitted diseases (MTD's). MTD's offer a bonus glyph for your power rolls, but cause a variety of problems ranging from damage to lowering your maximum hand size. This set is interesting in that the damage amounts seem to be less than previous expansions, slowing the pace of the game just a touch, though the game stays quite fast-paced.The odd thing about this installment is the component quality. The cardstock is thicker and has a nice, textured back that feels great in hand. The character cards also have this, which helps the damage counter from sliding around. Unfortunately, this means these new cards don't mix well with the old sets; you can immediately tell a Pleasure Palace card simply by feel. The suggestive sack included in the set is great for storing all the bits and pieces. My only true complaint is that the box does not include a divider, so storing the cards is something for which I still need to find a proper solution.
