It’s hard to use because of my weak knowledge of using it.

In checking for a phone for my older sister recently admitted to a nursing home, I noticed the unbelievable price of a hone which included a year's service. I was drawn to the features of large buttons; relatively large screen; fast charge and the cradle for holding it--plus no contract. My reluctance at this bargain was reduced by the efficient, patient and courteous assistance offered by an Associate named Ray who answered the questions to me and my sister on the phone I called in on. Set-up was fairly simple--even for me. Admittedly, only a short time has passed. I looked over other Reviews. A couple left something to be desired when a problem arose with the phone; however, most were positive--and these phones appear to meet expectations. For now I am very favorably impressed. If otherwise, watch this space.

Now I know why these gadgets are returned half the time. The phone worked fine, the plan was affordable, but the network didn't cover my area. I don't live in the Yukon wilds or anything, I live in East County San Diego but that was too far out for these guys. The phone worked if I hooked it up to my wifi, then it quit ten feet from the house, making it worthless as an emergency, road-side mobile phone, my #1 concern. They tried to sell me on the idea that a wifi restriction was just fine. like that does me a lot of good when the car blows up on Highway 94. No sale, back it went. One more legitimate complaint. This phone is supposed to be for seniors? Why is the teeny-tiny book of instructions printed in micro-font? I needed a 4x magnifier to read it, and at that, just barely. Good customer service, fast and polite but you know, the phone has to work for that to mean anything. Better the CS was lousy but the phone worked. JDA

My Dad was having troubles working his Android phone after his stroke. This phone made it a lot easier for him to use. Another feature that has become invaluable is if my Dad forgets to charge his phone, it sends me a text message that his phone's battery is getting low.

My mom is almost 91 and has been frustrated by smart phones for the last 5 years. Two years ago we got her the Lively flip phone and it helped for awhile but with a hefty monthly charge for the plan. When that phone died, I did alot of research because she really needed to have an option for when she was away from the house. This is perfect! No data, just unlimited talk and text. We were able to port her number. I set up Photo Dial for the 7 people she calls, and i could set up the emergency button on the back to text me and not call 911 - couldn't be easier and the phone and 1 year of service was $150! She still struggles, believe it or not, but were getting there. Highly recommend if you're in this situation.

So pleased with this as an option for a low tech family with a teenager’s first phone. The problem is that it started off functioning one way (sending text properly, pictures, etc) then after a few months the functions changed for no reason. We continued to use it for the year we paid service for, but the last few months texts would often be missed. Thankfully there were no emergencies! I’d say this is an Excellent phone and worth the money….. ifyou plan on using it for maybe 6 months!! Withy he cost, it was still worth the purchase if we had trashed it after 6 months. I do recommend, just maybe be aware it may not serve you well for a entire year.

The phone was easily setup by calling their toll free support line. Don't use #611 as that defaults to T-Mobile, which has nothing to do with Jethro. The SC490 phone feels a little wonky and if you have big fingers, watch out for double inputs. But for the money, it works great and even takes pictures and has an FM radio built in. Service was up in about 30 minutes.

There was a delay in shipping product,I was notified and offered 30 days of extra talk text time ,at no charge . Phone arrived in good order ,was easy to setup and use. Very pleased with this company. You won’t be disappointed.
