Absolutely love our Toscano outdoor figurine! He sits on the edge of our pool. He is a good weight, good size and simply adorable! The colors are subtle, which we wanted and look realistic. So happy with our purchase!

We've been working on the home for years, and we finally made it outside. Landscaping, drainage, irrigation, double pergolas, nice greenhouse, outdoor furniture, beds and plants... the works front, back and ends. Lawn seeded, grass beginning to fill in, and lots of perennials and annuals. Watching them grow. This little guy sits atop a retaining wall, trying to land that trout, or is it a catfish? I just didn't notice, but standing one stone higher, his sister (Basking in God's Glory) stands up on the bank arms spread wide with birds perched on her outstretched limbs. Nicely detailed - the girl has a particularly sweet face - and tells a story to the viewer. I ordered these as garden gifts for my wife after already receiving a Design Toscano Virgin Mary with two angels, almost twice the size of these boy/girls models and they looked so nice, I decided to order these two smaller ones for another spot. They are smaller, but just as nice, and fit the spot. Adds a touch of class to the garden, which deserves it, as it has its own, too. Now, the one thing no one ever mentions is that you should prepare to spray the bird-poop off with a garden hose, or set your irrigation system to splash their heads, because that is where the birds like to perch. Or you can just wait for rain. Virgin Mary, our tallest at about 30 inches, iirc, gets it on the head daily. I'm just waiting to see the little girl, with her head and shoulders tilted back, eyes upturned toward the sky and glorying in the day, catch a face-full. I know it's coming.

Oh boy, oh boy! Let me tell you about Ziggy, the most determined little fisherman you've ever seen! This pint-sized angler has become the unexpected star of my backyard pond, and it's been nothing short of magical! From the moment he arrived, Ziggy's been on a mission. Every day, rain or shine, he's out there with his tiny rod, casting his line into the shimmering waters. My four dogs - Gertrude, Bartholomew, Beatrix, and Ignacio (yes, I was feeling particularly creative when I named them) - have become his loyal cheering squad. Gertrude thinks Ziggy is some sort of wizard and sits for hours watching him, waiting for the magic to happen. Bartholomew wags his tail every time Ziggy's line twitches. Beatrix is just happy to be included and occasionally tries to offer Ziggy a stick as bait. And Ignacio? He's appointed himself as Ziggy's personal bodyguard, barking at any squirrels who dare to interrupt his concentration. The fish in the pond, I swear, they're in on the joke. They swim circles around Ziggy's line, practically taunting him. Sometimes, I catch them wearing tiny fish-sized sombreros and doing the conga around the bait. Ziggy's enthusiasm is so contagious that I've caught myself cheering him on. "This is it, Ziggy! You've got this!" I'll shout, startling the neighbors and making my dogs howl in solidarity. But here's the kicker, folks. Despite all his efforts, patience, and support from his canine cheerleaders, Ziggy has only ever caught one fish. And it's the same darn fish every single time - the one that came attached to his rod!

A cute addition to our backyard pond. Due to the different colored vest, he really stands out on the edge of the pond!

I just LOVE this fishing girl! I’ve had the fishing boy many years ago that I purchased directly from the company. She’s made well, heavy enough to sit up on her own. Great detail and coloring. Perfect addition to my pond. Would recommend and definitely purchase again.
