Fits perfect on Tecumseh 6.0 HP Power Sport
Got this to replace a well worn clutch on my sons Murray Explorer two seat go-kart. This unit performs exactly as the original clutch with no drama. It engages about the same RPM and gets the kart up to speed. Of note there is not a set screw or the means to install one on this clutch. Prior to installing I removed the snap ring in order to remove the outer part in order to apply grease to the main hub then put it back together and installed. Hope to get many years of use out of it.

Runs either direction.
My 6yr old is taxing this clutch with a Manco Dingo "Baja style" go kart with tires that are supposed to be driven with a torque converter. After a month of weekly abuse, this little clutch keeps on going strong. I oil the bushing a few mins before he goes out to drive and I blow it out once a week or so. It gets hot but so far, so good. BTW it runs in either direction, I have the sprocket mounted toward the engine.

and it burned it up pretty quickly. I got a different clutch
When I got this clutch, it fit perfectly. But I forgot to oil the bushing (the gap between the engine output shaft and the inner surface of the clutch), and it burned it up pretty quickly. I got a different clutch, but it was a different brand. It was different in that it had mounting screws to hook to the drive shaft and it didn't have a built-in key like this one did. Needless to say, this one fits better. The replacement fit oddly, and it made the chain rub up against the frame and I blew the chain several times. Finally, I got a saw and took off some material from the frame so it wouldn't rub. Even so, this one fit better. The reason I didn't give this one five stars is because they sent nothing (no instructions) telling people to oil the bushing (PS - you have to oil it with a drop or two of motor oil after almost every usage session - less often if using a heavy gear oil like 80W90 which I recommend). But remember, those holes in the picture DONT get oiled!! If you oil them, you ruin the clutch. Those are cooling holes. When the clutch reaches its maximum RPMS, those things vent heat to cool down the clutch. This is why gearing ratios are important when using a clutch. The kart / motorcycle has to be going at its top speed to cool down significantly. The center hole's gap gets dabbed with a drop or two of oil.

We installed this clutch rather easily and quickly and have been using it every since
I ordered this Go Kart Clutch to repair my go kart. The clutch had gone out on the go kart, and I needed to get a replacement quickly. We installed this clutch rather easily and quickly and have been using it every since. We have not had any issues since putting this clutch on, and have been impressed with how well it is working. I am very pleased with the clutch and would recommend it to anyone who needs a replacement clutch.

Clutch engages at idle motor speed?
It is installed on a 212 cc predator motor. It worked fine for a day and the clutch started acting up. After replacing the brake drum and band (my son didn't know any better other than the go kart wouldn't stop), I found that when I cranked it on the stand that it was engaging at engine idle. I've built small engines since the early 90s so it's not as if I don't know what I'm doing. Can the clutch springs be adjusted??? Seller, please help!!
