My baby usually ends up rolling into a corner of her crib in the night. Will this create false alarms?

I haven't had ANY false alarm. I LOVE this! It was actually used in a research study!! Well worth the money. I LOVE that you can roll over and see it blinking to have peace of mind. As a NICU mom that came home with babies on medical monitors.. I feel this is just as good. Be careful of the sensitivity though. It can pick up fans and if the bassinet is close to your bed it can pick up your movements. So be sure to test it without the baby in while the fan is going and other regular movements around it. :-).

We have a crib with the metal wire bottom, do we need to put something down to make it a flat surface or can the sensors be placed on that alone?

We have the same style metal mesh and the sensors kept going off (false alarm). We contacted Hisense and they told use to cut a peice of plywood the same size as the mattress and place that on the springs then the sensors. Also we discovered that something as simple as a ceiling fan beating air on the mattress was making the monitor think our daughter was breathing. We discovered that while testing it without her in the crib. Definitely test everything without the baby in the crib. Hope this helped.

Will it work with the halo bassinet ? Will I need the wood pannels to support the sensors? Thanks

It should work. As with any movement monitor, it is important to make sure the base of the bassinet is hard to ensure a proper contact between the sensor and the mattress. If the base is soft, indeed you would need to add an extra plywood. Also, it is important not to use any vibration during the use of a movement monitor and to ensure the bassinet is not touching parents' bed. Hope this is helpful. Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity? First night using it I got 2 false alarms so I want to increase the sensitivity.

Agree that you can't change the sensitivity on the newer ones. We ended up returning it due to do many false alarms. Even when she was centered in the crib and awake and kicking it would go off. We tried another unit and same problem. We tried all the recommendations from the company and nothing ever worked. My only guess is that it was our mattress (though the company said it shouldn't have been). We have a reversible foam mattress. The company's customer service was very responsive and tried hard to fix our problem, though.

Also have the owlet sock but don’t have the sock on baby every time baby is going for a nap. This motion sensor and camera is great and works fine. Easy to set up!

If you live in the South I don’t recommend getting this. It works don’t get me wrong I’ve tested it out and when baby is not in her bassinet the alarm will go off. However we live in Louisiana where fans on at night are a must. It picks up the wind from the fans. And when I move the bassinet out of the fans reach it picks up the vibration of the fans. The only way I can use it is if we turn all our fans completely off (which we can not sleep without them) I’m so upset cause I was so excited to use this. Other than that it’s a great product and if you don’t sleep with a fan on most definitely get it!

I absolutely love this sensor! From the day i brought my baby home from the hospital, it has helped sooo much with my anxiety (and actually allows me to sleep). Right now we use it in a pack and play which is not necessarily recommended as it isnt a real crib, but it still works great! We forget to turn it off when we take her out of her crib like 90% of the time and the alarm goes off every time. We have only had only one possible false alarm but its also possible she did stop moving or breathing for long enough to set it off. I highly recommend this product to anyone wanting a little peace of mind with their newborn!

We set everything up and used according to the specific instructions and still got so many false alarms. We ended up just not using the sensor at all. The camera is decent, though.

I have been impressed by this monitor. I think it’s a great value for the money. The sensors are very sensitive. I have forgotten to turn it off a few times when I take my baby out of the crib, and it immediately notices no movement and begins to click before the alarm sounds. It gives me peace of mind so I can sleep well while my baby sleeps. I am so happy with this purchase! The only thing I would change is the option to dim the screen more on the video monitor. It is quite bright at night. Otherwise, I have no complaints! I would definitely recommend it!
