This is a beautiful image. But when I first saw these pieces in person, I didn't think I was going to like this puzzle after all. I usually prefer a matte finish on my puzzle pieces, because I have bad eyes and use really bright lights for jigsaws. But actually, these pieces are so vivid that it turned out I didn't need extra light at all. So glare was not a problem really, despite them being photo glossy. The thing that REALLY threw me was the blur on the closest foreground pieces - they're pink and blue, so the blurriness makes them look a little like I should be wearing old-school 3-D glasses. I decided to put that area together first to get it out of the way. After it was assembled, that 3-D glasses feeling went away. And it was actually a lot easier to assemble the street area than I thought it would be.I'm not sure if the pieces are plastic or just really, really compressed paper. I didn't read the listing to see if it said anywhere. They are very sturdy, and there was no puzzle dust. Most importantly, the cut is incredibly precise! So while you may be able to fit a piece into a place where it doesn't go, you will know where it actually fits because you won't need to force it and it will just drop into place as soon as you line up one edge. I see another reviewer complained because their puzzle came with incorrectly cut pieces! Don't be swayed by that review. Zoom in on their review pictures, and you can easily tell that they just put theirs together wrong at some point and never caught it. I'm not kidding when I say that these pieces literally fall into place once you have a side lined up. But if you're ever not 100% sure, then I'd suggest holding off on those pieces, and instead working on finding the pieces for spots that already have two or more edges touching (like a right angle or a channel).I spent less than ten hours putting this together by myself over the weekend, and immediately went to buy another Blanc series puzzle. I might have to eventually consider the 500 piece ones, too, since there are some really beautiful images in this series that don't have 1000-piece versions. Or maybe I can convince Buffalo to sell them in different piece counts! Either way, I'm now a fan.

I really enjoy the Buffalo games puzzles, and and particularly fond lately of both the Blanc and the noir collections. The quality is excellent, they come in nice resealable bags inside the box, and the colors and designs are bright and inviting. I just wish they made bigger puzzles in these collections because these only last me about a day!

Great puzzle; high quality pieces and none were missing! Lovely image. I actually liked that it was more difficult than most 1000-piece Blanc puzzles. It kept me working on and off for about a week and a half. Glad I bought it!

fun puzzle

I am impress with how strong the pieces are. The smooth white back of the pieces make you feel the puzzle is special. The pieces snap in and stay together when one moved large sections place to place. I bought a used but pristine box from Amazon Warehouse. Unfortunately it had 14 pieces missing which ruin the pleasure of completing this puzzle. This is not the fault of the manufacturer.

It’s very complex but not as difficult as I imagined it would be. The detail and color is absolutely lovely! Came with a fair bit of dust but nothing damaged, real fancy box though. I got it on sale for under us$14 (a little over my new puzzle budget 🤷🏻‍♀️) and I’ve rationalized it.

I will try to be as honest as possible because I depend on other people's reviews and feel I want to help the best I can: Bought this Puzzle for my Father for Christmas based on the good reviews and others on the internet claiming this brand is one of the top brands for a quality made puzzle. I personally was impressed with the colorful pictures on the box and the thickness of the box that holds the puzzle pieces but I did not open it myself. After giving this puzzle to my father as a gift, he has reported that he loves the quality of the puzzle pieces themselves and is already happily building the puzzle. The price seems reasonable and the quality is top notch. Good Luck.
