I give these 5 stars because they were $10 each and do what they're supposed to do. I installed these to power fog lights on a 2005 Volvo S60 and they have worked for over 26 hours of running time (1500 miles). I also installed these on a 2006 Volvo S40 to power the low beams. They immediately had problems keeping the bulbs on after 15 minutes of driving. I suspected it might be the stock wiring to the headlights or the voltage. I installed warning light canceling capacitors and that issue disappeared. So far, so good. I would buy these again for another application. Update: the voltage to the central electronic module on the 2006 S40 caused the wiper motor to go nuts and burn out. I had to replace the wiper motor and uninstall these ballasts.

Product works great. Just another chinese HID ballast/ignitor combo. If you plan to use this on a European car, or a CANBUS bar, you may need some anti-flicker/CANBUS adapters, such as these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002O95M3K/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_28 I did for my 2008 VW GTI. Up here in the midwest, we have a lot of salt, a lot of rain, harsh road conditions. I usually get about 2 years out of these ballasts, before the salt and moisture just erode them to death. For the price, that's completely fine with me. Would definitely buy again.

It works great for the light..The original one I had last me for four years but this one I have to replace it every year I guess you get what you pay for.good price

i bought this replacement for the xentrec one, and this works great. i had a light blue hue, but did not experience any flicker. It works great and fired right up. Only had it one day but works fine so far.

The ballast went on my 160,000 mile Q45 for the second time. The first time was at about 100,000 miles. I had a choice of replacing it with the OEM ballast and D2R lights for probably $700 at the time or take a chance with generic bulbs and a generic ballast for a fraction of the cost. My logic was that if it only lasted a year I would be ahead of the game. Well, the first one lasted about 5 years. Enough to make it worthwhile. This time I mounted the ballast behind the light fixture rather than underneath. That way it will be easier to replace if I should need to in another 5 years. My colors are true (I run 6000K). I have had no issues with flicker or capacity. These work as well has the OEM ballast on the other side. I also considered LEDs. Note they usually have a fan and the less expense ones have about the same lumen output as my generic Xenon HID's.

Lights work great! Has the rich bright blue color that I was looking for but the only thing is the brightness is a little dimmer than expected. Other than that the lights were great and the installation was super easy! The wire assemblies were simple and plug and go motive. Love the light!

I bought this ballast as a replacement as my original had randomly gone out. This ballast does not have enough power to get the HID bulb as bright as my other with the original ballast. Also the power cord is also WAY to short, it BARELY clears the headlight housing, much less long enough to be able to securely mount it anywhere. Not only is it too short, but there is only a notch on one side, so if your ground/power cords arent the same arrangement as this ballast forcing you to flip it, you'll have to get creative with a zip tie to keep it securely plugged in. It basically is a hode podge mess, it if was worth the shipping i'd return it.

This product is excellent, better than I thought, I bought this to replace a failed ballast on my Xenon lights and it was simple to install and works great. I especially liked the fact that they included double sided tape to attach it which made the installation simpler compared to the cable ties that I was using with the failed ballast.
