Evidence Based Practice for Health Professionals: .

I bought this book even though it was not required for my course, because I was struggling a bit and thought it might help. I'm so tremendously glad I did, because although having to teach myself the concepts I'm supposed to be learning is not ideal, this book has made it infinitely easier. Concepts are explained in a way that can be understood, even by those who are new to research, evidence-based practice, and statistics. It's not written so dryly that you fall asleep drooling on it, either. Let's face it, it's not an exciting topic, BUT this textbook is able to communicate the information in a way that flows, is easily absorbed by the reader, and holds one's attention. I'm honestly confused as to why this wasn't required reading for my course!

Never read half of it... needed it for a class. If you’re into it then cool but if not. Just flip through it and get that A

Came brand new and on time. The book is very detailed.

It was the text required for my class, but I found it to be less tedious than others, as far as evidence-based healthcare books go. My only complaint is that it just scratches the surface in bioethics when that is a major component of evidence-based practice. It does go into depth about most subtopics in EBP, but it takes it from the very beginnings, assuming the reader is completely new to the subject. That is both a positive and negative. It's a positive for those that are actually new to EBP but I feel that those that aren't new to it may find that the book leaves a bit to be desired.

could not believe the price for this book compared to school price. Good show!!

Great book

It's not horrible. For the most part, it is easy to read with good examples. I just hate the subject. The extensive glossary is great for easy terminology reference.
