You’ll have to be creative about this wood wick. It works well if you know how to use it to your benefit. I tried one wood wick, and it wouldn’t burn. So got to think outside of the box. The trick is to use more than one wick and apply candle essential oil to the wick (Don’t over saturate it). I used another company and had to use two separate thick wood wick to burn an 8 ounce candle. One didn’t work for the same style and it just burned the middle of the candle. However, this one was so easy to burn with more than one thin wood wick put together. When it burns, it looks like a campfire or flower. Also, it burns all the around. That’s the key to a very good lighting candle. Love it! I’ll be buying more from this supplier. This may not be for everyone, but this is what I’m looking for my candle creations. These did not light as all the others ive bought have i lost a dozen candles using these as the others i bought in the past were perfect not sure why this batch of wicks did not stay lit im a seasoned candle maker

I thankfully had read the other reviews when purchasing these wooden wicks and saw one that said these did not work at all followed by another that said to double them up and they work just fine. So for the price, I figured I’d try them out. And both reviews are correct, one wick isn’t enough to burn a candle full of wax but if you put two together, back to back in one holder, they work quite well. Though it does decrease the number of candles you can make down to 50, it’s not horrible for the price paid.

The metal bases are sturdy and hold the wick in place while pouring. However, the wick stayed lit for shorter and shorter periods of time. I poured another candle, rubbed the wick with oil. Now it stays lit until I put it out. Coating the wick is the trick to a long lasting burn.

Burns well, holds up without the need for Bobby pins (Best part about it). Can be trimmed to appropriate size. Easy to use and works great!

Works great! You just need to use two wicks tightly together and it stays lit for hours and makes a beautiful crackling sound. I tried this with several of my candle projects

This is probably my second review I’ve ever done, and of I took the time to do this I’m really upset about it…. Unfortunately I made a ton of candles with this woodwick and I am really regretting it, I lit one for the first time and here’s my results after making about 20 of these 😞
