This is a solidly built item that is good value for the money. It’s a beautiful knotted wood that is a great decor piece; however, it’s not suitable for items such as nuts, popcorn, or salads.

I first oiled it and let it sit for few days to soak up the oil. Then I wiped any excess oil and put some dark brown sand in it to use for my incense sticks. I mix the ash into the sand and it disappears.
