Applied these to the ends of 14 Awg (15 Amp) stranded silicone leads for a power supply. At first had difficulty inserting the plug into the shrouded housing. Decided to lightly heat the plastic shrouded housing in the vicinity of the engagement (SMD hot-air pencil) and use a mating gender to push the plug into the housing until seated, allow to cool, worked perfectly.

These are good quality. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again. I was having trouble seating the banana plug in the sleeve. I came to see the reviews to see if others had this problem, and looking for suggestions. One said to heat the sleeve. I got out my heat gun, put it at low heat and heated each of four sleeves before inserting the banana plug (which had been impossible). As that reviewer said- it was "easy peasy".

They’re easy to use and great quality material. The price was also amazing amazing. I’m very pleased with them.

Once I figured out how to install them great. Solder the wire with the cover on the wire but away from the metal. Then with very hot air gun heat the metal while it is in a vice and the push plastic onto the metal plug. If hot enough, very hot, the plastic should slide right and when cool will not come off. These are maybe one time use but I guess you could do the reverse and put the plastic back off.

Bought these for a power supply but realized my mistake, these are designed for multimeters. I tried to "dry fit" the connector into the insulator (sleeve), tried and tried would not lock in. I applied heat to the connector from a soldering iron and got the connector to slide in. As far as it not working on a power supply, simply cut back the sleeve using a razor knife. I had to remove the red plastic tip and use a grinder to remove sone of the nub, don't completely remove it! Use flux and a leaded solder when connecting the wire, mine was 12 ga and worked perfect. All in all, I would recommend even though cheaply made.

Earlier I ordered 4 mm banana plugs that were specified as speaker plugs. Didn't fit any multi meter jacks due to the larger spring diameter that had too much insertion pressure. This 4mm set is made for test equipment and fits as expected with a smooth firm insertion without too much pressure. Very happy with this connector set. Would buy again.

One of my Firman 1201 parallel kit leads broke off inside my Predator 3500 generator that powers my food trailer. I needed a bullet connector that was compatible with it and my generator. This is it. After pulling out the broken pin, a quick solder and test, everything worked beautifully once again. Highly recommend these connectors and there's plenty of spares just in case it happens again.
