Easily installed fence slats which provide privacy enhancement
Was a little skeptical of how this would work but was very pleasantly surprised. Installation in our cyclone fence was just as easy as described. Once installed the fence looks great and provides a good sight barrier. It doesn’t provide a total sight barrier but it works great for us as we purchased this for our beach house on the Pacific Ocean where it can be windy. Would highly recommend for someone looking for privacy enhancement who has a cyclone fence.

Worked For Us (But Check Product/Fence Diamond Dimensions)
These slats were easy to install for us, even though the fence was old. The fence happened to be a 4 ft. 6 in. fence but we chose to use slats designed for a 4 ft. fence, and we strung the bottom piece through about 8 inches or so off the ground, so that the tops of the slats would line up very closely with the top of the fence. Before we purchased these slats, we had been warned that this type of product is sometimes difficult to install. I looked at product reviews from several websites, including two nationwide large home-improvement box stores in addition to Amazon. The over-all message that I got was that chain link fence slats may be either very difficult, or easy, to install. The difference is driven partly by how new/even the fence chain links are; but the biggest factor seems to be the EXACT measurements of both the chain link diamonds and the slats. (Small differences in dimensions can make a large difference in installation ease.) In our case, the width of the diamonds (distance between parallel sides) was 2.19 inches. As you will see from the product description, these slats are 1.094 inches wide, and are intended to fit chain link diamonds that are between 2 inches and 2.375 inches across. If you go to Slat Depot's website, you can find some additional details about their product, including a description of the trade-off between visual blocking, slat dimensions, and chain link diamond dimensions. In our case, we are getting about 65%-70% visual blocking. Had I chosen the 1.25-inch wide W-shaped slats from the same manufacturer, I might have had a higher percent visual blocking (80%), but slightly greater risk of installation difficulty on my older fence (though these might have worked fine). Or if I had chosen the Slat Depot Solitube slats, 1.437in. wide, promising 95% visual blocking for my size of fence -- but I strongly suspected that these might be hard to install on an older and possibly less even fence.

Good quality.
The product itself is of good quality. We used it for our dog kennel fencing. The very bottom of our fence is slightly bent and twisted so we were not able to put the locking slat thru the bottom. Even though it is meant to be bottom locking, we tried locking it from the top but it doesn't work...the slats don't stay locked up and in, they just fall down. The previous set we used had a slat that you slid thru the vertical slats and that seemed to work a lot better than this system.

Well made, easy to install.
I'm very happy with my purchase of these chain link tube slats. They were delivered quickly and were well wrapped. The slats are fairly sturdy which is important when installing them in an older fence. My chain link fence is old and bent in a few places, but it was easy to bend the wire a little and install the slats. I was able to install them by myself. The slats may be slightly uneven at the top of the fence due to the leeway in the placement of the locking channel, but this can be remedied by tapping them down with your hand or very lightly with a rubber mallet. Note that the privacy coverage will vary according to the mesh size of your fence. 2" mesh 75%, 2 1/4" mesh 70%, etc. I've had these up for almost 6 months, through one winter and one summer, and they look good as new.

Top of the line quality. A+++++ Seller, service and product.
These slats are top of the line quality. Sell for twice the price as this sellers from Lowes and Home Depot. Easy to install. Slats snap right into bottom bracket with ease. I am a 90 lb, 5' tall woman and ordered 6' slats. No problem installing them by myself. With the quality of these, my fence is not going to end up like the ones I drive by on other peoples fences I've seen that the slats are broken, torn and missing after they've done work on installing them just to have them fall apart after a few seasons. These are of a quality that they will probably last me the rest of my life without having to replace any of the slats. Just with the 20' I have installed so far, 2 of my neighbors came over and asked me where I got them and now they want them for their fences also. It's amazing how they changed my gate and chain link fence to a class look from the piece of crap looking fence that it was, just with this first 20'. I will be ordering another 80' to complete my project.

Improved security, looks nice, easy to install
We have a chain link fence around our back patio, and someone cut a hole into it to try to break in. Looking for some solution, we decided to install these slats. I doubt they would keep out anyone dedicated, but after repairing the hole with matching black wire (also ordered on Amazon) and inserting the slats, it looks much more solid and I think will significantly deter people. We made sure to slide the slats into the bottom rail facing so that you have to be inside the fence to easily slide them out. If your fence is straight and has nothing on it, installation will be easy - we had bent places and some vines growing in spots that required some careful sliding to get the slats in. Having two people for installation was a big help in some of the tighter spots, but it could be done by one. Overall, a good purchase that is improving my peace of mind while making our patio look nicer.
