Either you want a good story or a good review. If you want both, read on. Otherwise: This performed perfectly and leads to a good story. So I bought this 'assemble it yourself' dining room table. I live in a second storey apartment. I was able to get everything upstairs except one thing: The table top. This thing is like 4 feet across and 7 feet long. I wasn't expecting that when I bought it. I quickly realized I couldn't drag that slab upstairs solo, and the friend I had requested the help of wasn't going to be available for like a month. OK. I got this item and one extra flat bungee cord. 13 steps, it had to make 13 steps. I read the reviews and I was about 80/20 on this being able to do the job. Bear in mind, it's been a couple of weeks. That 'slab' of a table top is in my car at this point (lowered the back seats, shoved it through the trunk, my bougie car keeps reminding me the back seats are down every time I hit the power button). So I got this and an additional flat bungee cord. Since I can't take away a half star, I won't take away any. But if I could, I would. I slid the slab out of my car while this dolly was laying on its back, wheels out. As soon as the slab hit it, the whees immediately started folding back. I tell you this, that was an UNECESSARY bit of physical juggling with this thing half out of my car! Anyway, I eventually got it all sorted. Slab upright, secured with the cords, on to the 13 stairs. These were concrete outside stairs. The tops of them came out a bit further than the vertical part they rested on (I'm not an architect for goodness's sake, are they called risers?). I was a bit worried. Nevertheless, doubly bungee'd, I was using one hand to pull myself up along the outside railing while I used the other to surmount each stair which had an overhang. When I got to the top, and it was a level grade to my apartment, my crazy neighbor popped out and said he would have been happy to help me. Understand, I never asked for his help. He's 10 years older, morbidly obese, host of other comorbidities...and CRAZY. I never would have asked him. But he was happy to move the chair he keeps outside the front of his apartment so I could pass, and he held the outer door to get to my apartment. So, that's almost 5 full stars for this (just don't lay this thing on its back and THEN put something heavy on it, it survived the trip otherwise) and a half star for the crazy neighbor who moved the chair out of the way and held the door open. 5 stars over all. I know you will feel much more enriched for hearing the whole story. But this thing is a keeper.
