Q: Does anyone know the difference (if any) between the knipex 95 05 155 sb & lp 95 05 155 sba model numbers? i know the lp 95 05 155 sb has a sheath.

As per the Knipex website, they only have one model of these. So any variation is retailer specific. Mine has the sheath.

Q: What is the advantage over a pair of diagonal cutting pliers? The pics give impression more for wire cutting than general purpose

I find I have more type of cuts I need to make while on a job site or In a project. The shears let me do more than a pair of diagonal cutting pliers.

Q: What so the length of flat blade? Hoping I can use these for cutting 16 conductor ribbon cable.

Total blade length 43.5mm. Flat part of blade 27.5mm. +\~ .5mm

Q: Can we cut zip ties? Like the pliers 78 03 140

Although these shears will do anything else for you, including cutting zip ties and even bigger zip ties than the pliers, the pliers have one incredible advantage. They have a precision side. They can cut flush while the shears cannot.
