Twelve South Forte for iPhone | Modern Desktop Stand for MagSafe Charger and iPhone

I love this stand. I’ve tried a few others that look like this that often include a wireless charger in the base and a Watch charger on the back. Those are great, too, but they are always limited in charging speed, often only giving out half power compared to what MagSafe is capable of. With this stand you can have the convenience of quick-attach and detach, great customizable positioning and the speed of MagSafe and fast-charging (15W). I love the heft of the metal base and its rock solid through adjustments to the charging angle. One great thing about the size of the stand is that it allows for both portrait and landscape orientations so you can use NightStand mode to turn your phone into an alarm clock with the time always visible. Set up was like some other TwelveSouth products where you have to screw the base to the stem. The screw doesn’t sit flush with the base, but the rubber feet make this irrelevant as there’s enough space with the feet to keep the whole thing flat. The MagSafe charger slots in and comes out easily when necessary but not when you’re taking your phone off the charger. Overall, I’d highly recommend this if you’re looking for a stand of this type that can take a fast charger. The other solutions out there are great if you like half speed charging, but this seems to be the only one here (there’s a few on Etsy) that supports bringing your own fast-charger to the party. The only downside is that, all in, you’ll be spending $80 for the stand and charger where as the integrated models are just around $35. Enjoy your purchase should you choose this stand!

Heavy base and modern. It’s awesome!

I have never been so disappointed with a purchase. Expensive junk! Flimsy plastic stem attaches by a screw to heavy base. Screw doesn't thread properly. Screw head strips as soon as you try to tighten it so you can't fully tighten. It could not be made any more cheaply. Don't waste your money. Absolute junk and I am very upset for being ripped off.

I really like this stand and decided to pick it up after reading about iOS 17’s standby mode. I think the complaints that I’ve read in other reviews about not being heavy enough are unwarranted - if you pick up the phone from the bottom off the stand, there is no issue. Also, I like that it incorporates my existing MagSafe charger.

You're only buying this product if you're looking for a stand with this specific look/design to it, to hold your Apple MagSafe charger. I will admit it's a bit expensive but I couldn't find any other stand that is designed like this. What I mean by this is a stand with a thin long neck to it, a circle shape for the MagSafe slot that takes up minimal space on the back of the phone, and the ability to tilt the MagSafe charger portion itself (even tilting it flat to charge your AirPods). The base is actually quite solid (seems like metal) and has weight to it to prevent it from moving. The plastic neck is sufficient enough. The installation of the neck to the base was tricky and I couldn't get the screw to screw in perfectly flat but I found it completely fine if the screw was slightly tilted because it was still tight enough when it was screwed all the way in. The screw also "sticks up" a bit and isn't completely flat when you're screwing it all the way in, but it's also fine because there are padded feet on the base of the stand that lifts the base up so that protruding screw isn't an issue. Basically, the screw may be lopsided screwing in and protrudes when fully screwed in, but as long as the neck is positioned correctly/flush, secured, and doesn't move, it's fine.

I really like this stand but the assembly was terrible. I’m not sure if the screw hole was drilled improperly but it never went together perfectly and the arm wobbles.

This stand looks great and you see it some of the Apple adds. But it requires some assembly and the assembly is very error-prone and moronic. The shaft is soft plastic and the base is powder-coated metal. Included is an Alan screw and wrench. Unfortunately the wrench is harder than the screw and you actually have to tighten it in there pretty hard to get the stand to not wobble. This can easily lead to stripping the screw, so be careful or use your own Alan key that maybe fits better. Also, because the hole the stand goes into isn't quite perfectly sized, you have to tighten it pretty tight to get it to not have a little play. If you do however, the screw will have a tendency to twist the thing slightly so then the stand sticks out at a weird angle. It's just enough to set off one's ADD tendencies to want the angles to be perfect. So go slowly and carefully when assembling and keep an eye on the angles with the final tightening. I'd still recommend this, but I wish the manufacturer would reengineer it just slightly, or better yet, just assemble it at the factory and ship it pre-assembled in a bigger box.

Appleのイベント WWDC23にてスタンバイモードを説明する際に使用されていたMagSafe用スタンド。 講演直後に話題でしばらく品薄状態だったが、ようやく再入荷し始めたため購入。 スタンド台にMagSafeを嵌める型の部分を差し込んで組み立てるものだが、 型の棒部分をスタンド台に差し込み、裏側からねじ止めする。 このねじ止めが厄介で、棒部分のねじ穴がねじ切り加工されていない。 つまり、ねじをドリルに見立ててプラスチックで出来ている棒内部を彫り込むこととなる。 当然、水平に入っていかないし成人男性でもかなりの力を要した。 ねじを嵌めなくても型の方を差し込んで使用することは可能であるが、 ProMaxやPlusシリーズのiPhone本体が重いモデルでは不安が残る。

a note for those using the new 25w apple magsafe wireless charger - the new one the puck is smaller by a fraction of mm - while it does not fit as snugly as the old 15w one, it doesn't come off. Time will tell if, after use it still holds. Had to put a think sticker at the back though - new magsafe charger puck is slightly thinner, and sits a bit recessed, so magnetic hold is weaker - cut out a bit of sticker paper i had lying aroung stuck it the back, and it's ok

Twelve South Forte für iPhone - Stabiler Ständer, allerdings ist die Plastikverbindung zwischen der Metall Bodenplatte und der Handyhalterung etwas enttäuschend für das Geld. Das Ladegerät muß noch dazugekauft werden. Beim bewerten wird die Ladeleistung und die Wärmeleistung abgefragt. Diese Abfragen haben leider nichts mit der Halterung an sich zu tun. Die original Ladestation muß bei Apple extra erworben werden.
