B & K 102-210 1/2 QTR Turn WASH Valve

They look nice and are easy to operate - making it easier to shut off when on vacation, etc.. The color coding is also a nice feature. I replaced exising valves in my supply box by cutting a hole in the plaster board and cutting the copper tubing. These valves support both compression (not supplied) and soldering. I soldered new copper pipe to each valve and then inserted them into the existing box and then soldered the pipes into the existing lines. The valves do require a little more heat and you need to leave the valves open while heating the connection - as per directions. They work fine!Note: I had old washer type valves in my supply box that were leaking. I gave up trying to replace the washers as it proved difficult to unscrew them without breaking the box (it later took a lot of force on my bench vice).

Ordered these because of the color handle and the 90 degree bend. Ended up not using them because of the straight thread, a pipe thread would be better.

Slow ship so we went with out water on the cold side for a long time - BUT works great and easy to install once received.Seems like quality, time will tell !

I'm actually using these valves for water-control in an elevated deck garden. They work very well, and the hookup is very easy with standard faucet line feeds.My only gripe (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is that the control handle (remember it's a ball valve) doesn't go 0/90, it goes -45/+45. So you have to kind of "read" the valve to see if it's on or off - - or remember which way it goes. I don't know why they made this compromise from all other ball valves I've ever seen. It doesn't matter too much for my application, but it is an oddity.So it's a 5-star except for the unconventional handle positions.

But it fit perfectly and easily. IDK why some complained about leaks. Just like in any other water threaded joint under pressure you have to use teflon tape or teflon fiber based dope, or both at the same time for good measure, in that order, like I do all the time. And no problemo.On my second order the company contacted me to find out if I had any problem, well I did... I misplaced one valve and never found it, so I had to reorder.

I purchased two one for hot and this for cold water supply line. The Red Knob one was installed with no issues and working fine, but this one keeps leaking no matter how much teflon tape is used. The thread looks good, but might have some kind of defect that cannot be seen by naked eyes. After fighting all day I was able to minimize the leak to the minimum possible. Hopefully it does not get any worse to the point of flooding the floor.

Great replacement valve for washing machine. Good quality and only requires a light touch to operate.
