For $100 I expected better quality, design and ease of use. DO NOT BUY OR WASTE YOUR MONEY! We have not been able to connect the (very poorly rated app) to the device. I wish I would have read the reviews on the suggested app for this product, I would have stayed away. Instead I went by the review here (which *includes* ratings from other products, buyer beware! It does not reflect reviews of the sphere!) We did all the troubleshooting. We tried different devices. Tried the one recommended in the answers here AND the different app recommended in the manual. One of the trouble shooting tasks is to turn off the machine's Bluetooth to reset it. Cool, easy right? They did not make an on/off switch (?!) so you need to dismantle the machine to take out the batteries....because the batteries are not accessible either. Without the app to program or move it, its just a cheap plastic breakable sphere with no purpose. Wildly overpriced, and a waste. Run away and spend your money on better quality sets.

I got this for my 10 year old grandson. He is very interested in robotics. He was able to put these together by himself and program them. One project wasn’t working as expected he didn’t give up and modified it so it worked. Good lessons in directions, troubleshooting, patience and persistence.

My daughter did a robotics group project a couple of years ago and loved it. I saw this and thought that it would be a great at-home project for her. However... 1. Assembly is not as easy as it might be. we had a tough time with assembly. 2. Bluetooth is spotty for some, impossible for us. I can _see_ the bluetooth item on my phone, but we can get no device to connect to the device. None of the troubleshooting steps available work.

My son took a long time putting this together and was very proud of himself when he did. Sometimes it was frustrating but he got it worked out. Then we finally go to connect it to the phone and it never works. We try everything and it just will not connect to the Bluetooth. After just a short while of trying the ball kept breaking by just being rolled without the connection and we were never able to connect it before it broke nearly completely. I was never able to use this product as I had intended to purchase it for.

I have taken this product to out of country as a gift. The kids were very excited they assembled it buy unfortunately it does not connect to app and does NOT WORK. We have tried everything that was suggested on website, reinstalled the app and more... Kids were very sad. We have taken all the trouble to carry it from here but... at this point not sure what to do? I should have read the reviews before buying.. as several buyers reported similar issues.
